[Love Inside 2018] The jazz funk of the harmonically gifted and politically timely pro-immigration cut, “Free To Be (featuring Norman Brown),” spotlighting Lance Comer’s killer drums, begs to be heard live as the warm-up jam that gets the audience on their feet in concert, especially when the song pushes Webster as a singer to ever higher, emotionally righteous heights. - Soul Tracks

www.lindseywebstermusic.com

In 2009, Lindsey met her partner, Keith Slattery, and started performing professionally. Together, with a band of world-class musicians, they’ve performed hundreds of shows regionally, nationally and internationally.

The success of her second album "You Change" and achieving the only vocally driven song to hit #1 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz chart for four weeks, followed by her third, "Back To Your Heart". On her fourth outing - Love Inside - Webster continues a devotion to the smooth R&B and soul traditions.

Acoustic Strings Rock, Folk, & Blues in Beacon

Acoustic, Singer-Songwriter, and Blues
Howland Cultural Center
477 Main St
Beacon, NY   See Map
Tim Haufe with Strings: Influenced greatly by the neo-folk music prevalent in the Hudson Valley region where he grew up, Tim Haufe began playing around the area as a solo acoustic act, while maintaining a multi-instrumentalist role for his recording projects. A prolific writer, he has released seven albums to critical acclaim. Haufe's music is beautiful, soulful, dynamic, volatile, desperate, and full of hope. This evening showcases his work with a string quartet plus sax and drums rather than a traditional rock band.

The Whiskey Girls duo, based in NYC, is made up of two sweetly ferocious singing cellists (vocellists!), born of finding new directions in cello. Patricia Santos and Tara Hanish, both in demand freelance cellists, met in 2009 while attending the New Directions Cello Festival in Ithaca, NY. The Whiskey Girls mix original compositions and stylized covers ranging from folk to blues to art-pop.

Born in Genova, Italy, Beppe has developed a signature style that brings American and European roots to speak together with one voice. In his unique approach, Beppe blends energetic grooves with passionate melodies, giving new life to sources from different times, periods and places.

As a teenager in Italy, Beppe became fascinated by the music of the great American acoustic guitar masters of the 1960s and 1970s. His passion led to

Marlboro, NY   See Map
With the African performance group Sankofa, percussionist and bassist Juma Sultan is a link between free jazz and Jimi Hendrix - a puzzle piece in the history of musicians’ cooperatives.

http://www.jumasultan.net/

Percussionist Juma Sultan shot to international fame when he stepped onto to stage of the 1969 Woodstock Festival as a member of Jimi Hendrix’s Gypsy Sun & Rainbows. However, his musical journey neither starts nor ends there.

With the multi-instrumentalist Ali Abuwi he helped form the Aboriginal Music Society, a loose assembly of players who prided themselves on absolute inclusiveness (“Any Song, Any Key, Anywhere,” was their motto.) Hendrix dropped by to play with him in 1969, a few days before the Woodstock festival, resulting in a much-bootlegged jam session. Juma's albums with the Aboriginal Music Society include Whispers from the Archives and Father of Origin.

In 2008, bassist Jorgen Carlsson joined Gov’t Mule, but despite his touring schedule, he and life-partner, Mini Diaz, made time for Little Days.

www.littledays.net

Their collection, Pop & Tacos (2019), hold a familiar retro sound. The duo's own recording studio, Roger’s Boat used both the digital platform as well as a 24-track analog machine in the making of Pop & Tacos.

In January of 2019 Little Days was asked to perform at Gov’t Mule's annual Island Exodus in Jamaica, coinciding with guest-hosting their own show on SiriusXM JamOn’s “Roll Your Own”. They invited The Heartbreaker’s drummer, Steve Ferrone, and touched on how they got fellow Heartbreaker guitarist, Mike Campbell, to record one of Little Days’ tracks.

Jorgen had started another project called Nerve Bundle with Toto’s guitarist Steve Lukather who also recorded guitar on two songs for Pop & Tacos, one of which also features Warren Haynes.

Born May 24, 1941, Bob Dylan will forever be remembered as the most creative, influential, musician, singer, and songwriter in the history of folk and rock. Let the celebration continue!

"It's all about the song. It has to be. If it isn't, then as far as I'm concerned, you're missing the point." - Pat O'Shea

His resume is equally impressive and includes six years playing guitar for the legendary Levon Helm, countless shows backing Blues greats James Cotton and Hubert Sumlin, as well as collaborations with Jimmy Vivino, David Johansen, and Larry Campbell among others.

O’Shea’s songs are pure American music, influenced equally by heartland Country, down-home Blues and straight ahead Rock n Roll. His thoughtful lyrics, inspirational melodies and powerful arrangements will rock you hard, let you down easy and take you everywhere in between.

Founded in 2012 by Alex Mazur, of The Deadbeats - one of the longest running Grateful Dead cover bands. With lineups that include Adam Czolowski (Sonic Garden), Tom Pirozzi (Ominous Seapods), Jeff Martinson (Shakedown) and Rob Schiff (Nailed Shutt), Vinnie Amico (moe.), Rob Eaton (Dark Star Orchestra), Russ Lawton (Trey Anastasio Band), Bill Carbone (Max Creek) and Zach Nugent (Cats Under The Stars).

The Dead were unique, as was the bond with their audience. MAGIC and MUSIC! It is the MAGIC that Gratefully Yours pays tribute to. The band encourages their audience to participate in the creative process, offering the Dead community an opportunity to submit, or vote for, their dream set lists online.
