The root of the Band's sound is Suter's deep, powerful, commanding, and soulful voice, artfully blending the lines between gospel and blues. Suter is the daughter of singer, Carrie Suter, backing vocalist with Harry Belafonte and Mahalia Jackson.

 DOG KNOWS! (formerly the Kurt Henry Band) rocks Woodstock, with Alan Groth on Bass and Chris Cullo on Drums. Their danceable protest song "Resist! Resist" is currently spreading like wildfire on Youtube. Kurt is also familiar as the lead guitarist of the Dharma Bums.
Also appearing is Cob's Cabin Band, a twang machine featuring Jay Jacobs on his white hot telecaster and Kurt--a formidable guitar section. Originally hailing from Elmont NY, this band is poised to make a big impact on the Hudson Valley where alternative Americana can turn a winter's eve into a hot summer night. |
