"A brilliant singer and even more thoughtful lyricist” - H. Allen Williams, JazzTimes

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, vocalist Aimée Allen performs regularly in NYC and abroad. She has sung with such renowned musicians including Romero Lubambo, Ron McClure, François Moutin, Rozwell Rudd, Ari Hoenig, and Yomo Toro. And, her latest release, the critically acclaimed Wings Uncaged, is a musical statement of transcendence in all its facets. With a set of jazz standards and striking originals featuring winged creatures, negotiating the challenges and limitations of the natural world, the project provides metaphors for surviving perilous conditions in creative ways. It has been named one of Downbeat Magazine's Best of 2018.

“Allen will mesmerize you with her voice and style. Wings Uncaged is a vastly different experience than the standard vocal jazz fare, that offers depth and reverence, while pushing the idiom forward." - Steph Cosme, Staccotofy

In 2012, again residing in Woodstock, New York, Gabriel launched multiple projects, a documentary film on Paul Butterfield, and a working band that celebrates his father's music.

Marlboro, NY   See Map
"For more than a decade, Nate Wood has expressed his multifarious instrumentalism in prog-jazz outfits like Kneebody, the Wayne Krantz Trio, and the Donny McCaslin Band. But his solo project, fOUR...takes the concept to impossible extremes." - WBGO

"The fact that the music itself is wonderfully composed and executed [ X-IT fOUR released 2018] , not to mention masterfully mixed (he does it all folks), is number one here." - Campbell Youngblood-Petersen/Drummer, Composer

http://natewoodmusic.net

Nate Wood's new project, fOUR, is an ambitious take on solo performance. Here, Wood is playing everything — analog synths, drums and bass, sometimes adding vocals — all at the same time. As well, he’s recording every song in one pass with no overdubs, click track or pre-recorded backing tracks. “That’s why it’s called "fOUR", because it’s me with four limbs playing four instruments at once,” says Wood.

The Francois Wiss Trio pays tribute to the Golden Age of Cuba!

Featuring: Francois Wiss / Guitar/Vocals, Daniel Villeneuve / Percussion, Roman Lajara / Tres

The Buena Vista Social Club has always been more than a place: The long-shuttered nightspot has lent its name to Grammy-winning albums, an Oscar-nominated documentary and, most importantly, to a musical genre celebrating Cuba's "Golden Age" -- the vibrant sounds of the '30s, '40s and '50s.

Now a red-hot trio of musicians, lead by guitarist-vocalist Francois Wiss, pays tribute to this dynamic and danceable music.

Wiss studied music at the Conservatoire in Paris, where he was mentored by guitar masters including the legendary Pierre Cullaz. Now, he will perform such Buena Vista Social Club favorites as "Chan Chan," "El Payande," "Se Seco el Arroyito" as well as many others.
