Free outdoor summer concert series in the center of Woodstock on the Village Green. The yearly concert series features eight concerts spread throughout the summer with performances by local musicians. Produced by the Woodstock Music Shop; sponsored by The Paul Green Rock Academy, the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce and Arts, Markertek, Woodstock Apothecary, Photosensualis, Mid Hudson Valley Credit Union, Chronogram, and radio station WDST.
An afternoon of Classic rock tunes and jams as they cover wide range from Carole King to Grateful Dead, CCR to Hendrix.....adding keyboardist- veteran of BB King Club and Stone Pony ....Great venue / outdoor atmosphere with great wines, beer, mix drinks and food (pizzas, paninis, and more!)....!

The Rock Tavern Chapter of the Hudson Valley Folk Guild, at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Rock Tavern, will be featuring Amy Fradon on Saturday, June 9 at 7:30 p.m. Open mic performances will be available to all. Cost of admission for this event is $6 ($5 for Folk Guild members and seniors).

Free show in one of my favorite venues! A rare public appearance in which I focus mainly on guitar instrumentals from classical to popular plus new age, Celtic, Spanish, and more. Although it is free you are cordially invited to make reservations; not required but guarantees you a better seat and is always helpful for the venue and me. Simon Joyner is touring on his latest album, "Step Into the Earthquake." Joyner is a renowned American singer-songwriter who first came to prominence during the Lo-Fi movement of the early 90's alongside contemporaries mining similar territory like Will Oldham, Peter Jefferies, the Mountain Goats, and Bill Callahan. Joyner was championed early by the late British DJ, John Peel, who famously played Joyner's 1994 LP, "The Cowardly Traveller Pays His Toll", start to finish on one of his BBC programs, initially making Joyner more well known overseas than in his own country. He is often referred to as one of the forefathers of the Omaha music scene and an influence on his friend, Conor Oberst, of Bright Eyes. His discography includes twenty-two full-length recordings. This is a rare chance to see his band in Hudson!
