Simon Joyner is touring on his latest album, "Step Into the Earthquake." Joyner is a renowned American singer-songwriter who first came to prominence during the Lo-Fi movement of the early 90's alongside contemporaries mining similar territory like Will Oldham, Peter Jefferies, the Mountain Goats, and Bill Callahan. Joyner was championed early by the late British DJ, John Peel, who famously played Joyner's 1994 LP, "The Cowardly Traveller Pays His Toll", start to finish on one of his BBC programs, initially making Joyner more well known overseas than in his own country. He is often referred to as one of the forefathers of the Omaha music scene and an influence on his friend, Conor Oberst, of Bright Eyes. His discography includes twenty-two full-length recordings. This is a rare chance to see his band in Hudson!

Will Stratton is an American musician living in Beacon, New York. His sixth album, 2017’s Rosewood Almanac, came out on the London label Bella Union

Dragon country, the country of pain, is an uninhabitable country which is inhabited," -Tennessee Williams

Paramount Hudson Valley Arts' (501c3) Executive Director John Amato is proud to announce Recovery Rep's Production of "3 By Tennessee Williams," which consists of three one act plays penned by one of the greatest playwrights of the twentieth century: Tennessee Williams. Unlike many playwrights, Williams (The Glass Menagerie, Street Car Named Desire, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and many others) continued to create short plays throughout his long and storied career. "Talk to Me Like the Rain and Let Me Listen," "This Property is Condemned," and "I Can't Imagine Tomorrow" are three enigmatic and surprising works chosen for this evening.

"These three plays illuminate the struggle of those who feel alien to the society that surrounds them" said Daniel Amenda, who will direct all three plays. "It shows their strengths and their flaws, and methods on coping."

This classic rock band from the Hudson Valley, led by Fred Zepplin, has developed a reputation for unconventional song selection, soaring vocals and a unique performance style - unexpected from a ukulele-fronted band! The band celebrates Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, David Bowie, Pearl Jam, and of course Led Zeppelin.

Although Fred Zepplin has opened for numerous national acts, their tagline "Live, local and homegrown rock" is well-respected and supported in clubs and bars throughout Orange County NY, and its neighboring territories.

Fred Zepplin has headlined at notable Hudson Valley venues, including The Falcon and The Falcon Underground; The Chance Theatre, Sugarloaf Performing Art Center, Orange County Choppers Cafe and Brian's Backyard BBQ.

Twin sisters Nalani & Sarina are quickly gaining national notoriety and recognition, and their "stylistic alchemy" is likely to keep them in the spotlight for years to come. Legendary music critic and Sirius radio host Dave Marsh, recently called their latest EP, Scattered World, "some of the best music being made in 2016."

They say Nalani & Sarina were "born in stereo" - as identical mirror twins, Nalani plays her guitar right-handed; Sarina is a lefty. "When they're both singing and strumming, it feels like the song has come to greet the listener with arms wide open."

In a pop landscape largely bereft of Asian-American voices, the twin sisters' perspective is welcome. Their songs are catchy AND meaningful, their look is dazzling, their message is courageous, and the sky is the limit.

Nalani & Sarina will do an hour-long set, followed by MISHTI.

Peekskill, NY   See Map
MISHTI is a Rocker. Songwriter. Ridiculously talented. A singer whose vocals are hard to define, but unmistakably... Mishti. And her band just flat out ROCKS: Brett Rothenhaus, Chris Burke, and Alex Nolan, who (if you don't already know) is the guitarist for the Cyndi Lauper Band.

Mishti is a New York-based musician who was born in Tokyo and, as she says, "shaped by parental wanderlust". Mishti participated at the 2014 and 2015 Michigan Womyn's Music Festivals, and Toshi Reagon's 2016 Word, Rock & Sword Festival. Aside from being a 12 Grapes favorite, Mishti gigs regularly in the New York City music scene at Rockwood, Bowery Ballroom and many others.

Her new hits include, "The Weight of My Heart" and "Obsession" ... both of which we're obsessed with. Join us for Mishti and her killer band.
