Paramount Hudson Valley Theater
1008 Brown Street
Peekskill, NY   See Map
She’s back! Best-selling, award-winning children’s musician Laurie Berkner has been a longtime fixture on TV’s Nick Jr. and Sprout channels, and her original songs, albums (twelve so far), DVDs, music videos, and books leave no doubt: Laurie Berkner is the uncrowned queen of children’s music and the power behind the progressive “kindie rock” movement. What sets her apart? Her music speaks to kids without talking down to them, charming youngsters without boring grown-ups. Laurie finds inspiration in her audience. “I want to create songs that matter for children,” she says. “I was singing once and saw a four-year-old girl shut her eyes and start swaying to the music. I thought, ‘That’s the reason I got into music.’ It keeps me wanting to do more.” Laurie’s “Greatest Hits” solo show features popular hits like “Bumblebee (Buzz Buzz),” “Victor Vito,” “We Are The Dinosaurs,” and “Rocketship Run,” plus- as a special treat for fans- a few well-loved Laurie Berkner songs that are not often hear

Emma's Revolution is the award-winning activist power duo of Pat Humphries and Sandy O. In the spirit of Emma Goldman's attribution: "If I can't dance, I don't want to be part of your revolution," Emma's Revolution brings their uprising of truth, hope, and a dash of healthy irreverence to concerts and peace & justice, labor, human rights, environmental, LGBT, and women's rights events.

The Music of TRAFFIC!, Scott Petito, Randy Ciarlante, Bruce Katz, Bill Harris, Joey Eppard, Andy StackThe FALCON
1348 Route 9W
Marlboro, NY   See Map
Music Director, Scott Petito assembles an AllStar line-up to interpret the iconic work of Traffic, with renditions of familiar songs and deep catalog cuts!

The original Traffic had two phases. The first , a winsomely psychedelic pop band that blended blues, folk, rock, and R&B, fronted by Steve Winwood - best-known for his lead vocals with the Spencer Davis Group - and Dave Mason. After Mason, the band became Winwood's vehicle for longer, moodier excursions that leaning into to jazz and soul. Traffic was exceedingly popular in both incarnations.

In 1970, while Winwood was recording his first solo album, "Mad Shadows", Capaldi and Wood sat in on some sessions. That LP became Traffic's fifth and most commercially successful album, "John Barleycorn Must Die", a gold album and a staple of "progressive" FM radio. This was followed by another gold album, "The Low Spark of High-Heeled Boys" in 1971.

Key of Q, the Hudson Valley’s LGBTQ and Allied a Cappella Chorus presents songs from the Prom you wished you'd had! Prom attire encouraged!

Was your high school prom all you had hoped and dreamed it would be? Key of Q has chosen a selection of songs that describe the prom many people experienced: awkward, uncomfortable, and for some, perhaps even deeply painful, and prom we wish we'd had: the positive, fun, self-affirming, inclusive prom that ALL kids deserve to have!

Key of Q is a group of LGBTQ and allied singers who travel from all corners of the Hudson Valley to blend their voices and perform beautiful a cappella music together. Formed at the beginning of 2016, they focus on mostly-modern secular music in four-part harmony. Common themes within their music include equality, love and celebration of unique identity."

Adam Falcon is a master guitarist and songwriter. And one of the most humble people we ever met. Adam once blogged, "Wrote a couple of songs that guitarist George Benson happened to cover." His music is "intimate and soulful". He'll have you riveted to your seat, while at the same time you won't stop moving to the groove.

Adam started recording at 16 and was one of NYC's most sought after session/touring guitarists. He worked with Will Downing, Sophie B. Hawkins, Roberta Flack, and the aforementioned George Benson, for whom he wrote "In Search Of A Dream" from the Grammy nominated album "In Your Eyes", also performing on the album.

"Falcon's adventurous mix of Soul, R&B and Funky Jazz is giving audiences and critics something to talk about." - Urban Network.

Marlboro, NY   See Map
Lipbone Redding has taken his singular vocal instrumental style to a new level by playing guitar and producing the sounds of all instruments sounds, while singing and storytelling simultaneously, without the use of electronic effects or a loop pedal. Redding weaves his stories with funky rhythms, catchy melodies, brash humor, soulful singing, and inventive guitar playing - not to mention his astonishingly realistic lip-tromboning.

In 2005 Lipbone Redding immersed himself into the vibrant East Village nightlife, and became a staple of the downtown music scene.

It was in the East Village, Lipbone met world famous producer Ahmet Ertegun, founder of Atlantic Records, who motioned for Lipbone to sit at his table. He offered his hand and confided “You play trombone with no trombone, better than some trombone players that I know.” Lipbone took it as a blessing and hasn’t looked back since.

"Williams’ powerful vocals, steeped in old time traditional country....Holding it all together was Campbell’s, effortless, impeccable guitar and fiddle playing....with magical sounds emanating fluidly from his fingers, without the usual cliched macho facial contortions which usually accompany such feats of dexterity." - No Depression

This duo not only brings a lot to the table, they bring the table itself – plus the house, the still, the church, the marriage bed, the sawdust-covered floor, and abiding, unconditional love, all carried in two voices harmonizing across hills, hollers, porches, and fire escapes. Those close harmonies ride atop music made in a mountain refuge, far from the madding crowd, connected to a spirit that lives on in song.

GILBERT is a Westchester band made up of five incredibly talented teen musicians. They play classic Rock with Soul/Funk influences. Tara Curran's powerful and soulful vocals will let you know from the first note that they mean business. While performing locally, they've caught the attention of Rob Thomas, Dave Anderson and Vaneese Thomas among others, and have performed on the TV's Wonderama.

DJ Ethan Carey (i95 FM) was a judge when GILBERT took home first place at the Ridgefield BandJam last year. He said, "How can a rock band that sounds like a cross between Heart, Led Zeppelin, and Janis Joplin - both musically and vocally - not be destined for success?"

Backing lead vocalist Tara is Justin Giacchetto (guitar), Eddie Fiscella (keys), Owen Hughes (drums), Wilson Yarnall (bass).

We first met this band at a our Kids Open Mic when they were just starting out, and they blew us away then. Don't miss this amazing show. They'll Rock your socks off!
