Dylan Doyle is a teenage Blues guitarist who is creating quite a stir in the Hudson Valley music community. Born in the south to Yankee parents, he has been steeped in everything from Robert Johnson and Townes Van Zandt to Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Hendrix. From this comes a unique musical interpretation that lies somewhere within the delta of Rock, Rockabilly, and the Blues. Dylan was recently a featured artist in the Live Music Camp of the 2015 "Burning Man Event" as well as the 2014 King Biscuit Blues Festival, one of the biggest blues festivals in the country.

And he's getting noticed: "A seasoned guitar slinger in a young man's frame."

Dylan's band includes Chuck Torres on bass and Dorian Randolph on drums. Dylan always puts on an amazing show, you won't believe he's only 18 years old!

Their debut 6-song CD was nominated for a 2014 Canadian Folk Music Award for Vocal Group of the Year, and they have quickly become an audience favorite. Whether they are belting it out a capella style, tugging on your heartstrings with a folksy original, crooning a jazzy swing tune, or getting into the spirit with a gospel-inflected singalong, Gathering Sparks performances make fans out of listeners with their stellar harmonies and fine musicianship. 1348 Route 9W
Marlboro, NY   See Map
A very special creative showcase - Hudson Valley Singer / Songwriters convene at The Falcon Underground every first Wednesday.

Each month selected songwriters will be announced, by our Host, Casey Erdmann and in Falcon promos. Interested artists may contact: caseyerdmann@gmail.com

After years spent “lost in the wilderness” of music and commerce ( i.e. building and running a music venue in Larchmont, NY, the famed Watercolor Cafe), Bruce T. Carroll has returned to his roots and his first and abiding love: lyric songwriting.

Songwriter, guitarist, and award-winning artist/graphic designer, Phil Butta, has performed music throughout NYC since the late 60s. For this visit to the Sessions, Phil brings a trio of superb musicians: Jonathan Perls (piano), Vyts Lauralitis (bass), and Steve Dee (drums).

Born into a musical family, Host Casey Erdmann has been living and playing music in the Hudson Valley for 10 years.

With double lead guitars, a heavy rhythm section, and soul-scouring vocals, JLH honors the likes of Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Johnny Winter, Big Mama Thornton, and other blues greats. Nominated for The Deli’s Best of 2014 Poll for Emerging NYC Artists, JLH is a blistering blues monster capable of whispering in your ear before stomping on your heart.

So how’d this gang of pros find each other? Guitarists Hightop and Tina honed their love of blazing dual leads in Helldorado in the ’90s. From there, Hightop joined Nashville Pussy, Tina joined Bad Wizard, and both toured the world. But they missed the rush of trading guitar solos with one another, leaving audiences howling with joy. They recruited Mary, who played bass with Hightop in the punk band the Wives. Drummer, Cool Whip got the nod before she even finished slamming out the first song of her audition. And no singer in the entire city can bring a crowd to its knees harder or faster than Dana Danger Athens.

Opening Act
with Long is the Walk, Jeremy Harman, Joey Pierog, Jens Ellerhold
The FALCON
1348 Route 9W
Marlboro, NY   See Map
Long Is The Walk, the solo project of Boston-based cellist, singer-songwriter and composer Jeremy Harman has released their debut album Spirits and Ghosts, a hypnotic collection of songs and virtuosic instrumentals weaving the coming-of-age tales of an individual struggling to hold on to dreams and purpose as the naivete of youth fades and is replaced by an obsession with the finite nature of time and of life.

Harman’s music has been heard in concert halls worldwide as the cellist of the Sirius Quartet, a string quartet who writes and performs original multi-genre instrumental music. After working as a freelance cellist and sharing the stage with artists Peter Gabriel, Sting, Lady Gaga, Bobby McFerrin, DeVotchKa and John Williams, Harman has stepped out as a songwriter and created a sonic realm both earthy and ethereal, set against a backdrop of the tight jazz-tinged rhythm section. The end result is a dream-like mixture in which raw grit gives way to atmospheric beauty.

12 North Division Street
Peekskill, NY   See Map
Drew Bordeaux has opened for Daughtry and Boz Scaggs and performed at the 2016 Pleasantville Music Fest. Catch this up-close-and-personal performance.

Drew's sets are rooted in percussive acoustic guitar and earthy/soulful vocals, laced with live loops and violin solos. Drew meshes together core influences including classics like Fleetwood Mac and BB King to Talking Heads and Stone Temple Pilots -- with contemporaries like Mumford and Sons and Hozier to Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift. The resulting sound is often considered a mix of Ben Harper and Jimi Hendrix, his vocals reminiscent of Eddie Vedder and Darius Rucker.

Drew's performed at an impressive list of venues, including Bostons the Middle East and Sanders Theater, and NYCs the Bitter End, Ace of Clubs, and CBGB, and is a 12 Grapes favorite.
