AYAASO is a Roots Reggae Band that has performed at Africa House and numerous other venues in and around New York City and upstate New York. The band can be seen on BRIC TV on TradingPhotos.com in Brooklyn. NYAYAASO started in the fall of 2003 with Asante Blue on keyboards and vocals, Fes Williams on bass, Bill Bojangles on vocals. Laura is a “recovering lawyer”, a New Jersey native transplanted in California; Laura returned to music after a 20-year hiatus, and now--she’s a 2 time Kerrville New Folk finalist, 5 time West Coast Songwriters Association Best Song of the Year, a 2013 Official Showcase artist at SWRFA, an Emerging Artist at the 2014 Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, with an international following. | This October, Green Kill is excited to host “Dance Night for Young People” on Friday the 28st of October, featuring the emerging young talent from Hurley, Hardc0re, who will take his guests on a dance journey with his signature Electronic Dance Music which combines strong melodies and powerful and energetic bass. The dancers will be bathed in pro lighting effects and sound. Doors open at 7pm and house lights are turned back on at 9:30 pm. Parents are encouraged to stay with their children for the evening. Steve is an award winning Americana artist with strong roots in the singer songwriter tradition, country and rock. His influences include The Beatles, Townes Van Zandt, Pete Seeger, and Steve Earle, among others. He's a regular on the Hudson Valley scene with a steadily growing fan base nationwide. In 2011, Steve won the Hudson Valley SongFest Emerging Artist Competition, Wildflower! Music and Art Festival songwriting competition, Woody Guthrie Songwriting Contest (Third Place) and was a Kerrville New Folk finalist. In 2010, Steve was the grand prize winner of the Music 2Life songwriting competition for "The Wall Street Fat Cat Tax Payer Bail Out Blues". Steve's first C.D. "It Is What It Is" reached number 12 on the folk D.J. Charts in 2007. He's currently working on his latest C.D. with producer Peter Calo set for a January national release.
