 Safe Harbors Lobby at the Ritz welcomes Pop and R&B artist, Nat Adderley Jr., on Saturday, March 5. Adderley, Jr. is best known for his work with Luther Vandross. Nat wrote (and arranged) Luther’s first top 20 pop hit, “Stop to Love”, “Wait for Love” and the Grammy-nominated “Give me the Reason.” Nat also arranged many of Luther’s most popular records and produced “The Closer I Get to You,” a Vandross duet with music superstar Beyonce.
More recently, Nat has been performing in jazz clubs and festivals in Asia, Europe and California with saxman Tom Scott, and in the New York area with other artists and with his own trio. Now it’s his turn to take his well-deserved spotlight.

She is a featured artist on the CDs: He's My Father (a duo with her father, jazz pianist/composer Mal Waldron) and Lullabye (a tribute to her godmother, Billie Holiday).  The members of 4 Gun Ridge have deep roots in Hudson Valley music. After leaving the days or their heavier bands, Joey's Throwin Elbows and Mearth behind, Donny Parker and Ian T. Fuller got the itch to start the edgy country project they had talked about for years. Before too long they stepped it up a notch with the addition of another rock and roller Duke LeBlanc on bass and Brother Adam Schreiner on drums. Fronted by Donny and his Gibson acoustic, 4 Gun Ridge plays original gritty cowboy rock the way you like it. The old time outlaw country influence is obvious but, they never shook off their dirty rock roots. Imagine upbeat southern rock played by upstate NY blue collar boys. Good tunes and good times.

Sari, a NY Blues Hall of Fame inductee, took the international Blues scene by storm as the powerhouse lead vocalist for Blues Hall of Fame guitarist Joe Louis Walker. She's appeared on Conan O'Brian and toured worldwide, receiving critical acclaim for her blustery vocals and emotionally-charged performances. Sari is described as a modern-day hybrid of Janis Joplin and Tina Turner.
The band includes Chris Bergson (NY Blues Hall of Fame guitarist), Craig Dryer and Diego Voglino.
Sari's debut album, produced by legendary producer Mike Vernon (Fleetwood Mac), will be released on Manhaton Records in Aug '16.

 Multiple Grammy Nominee Miguel Zenón is widely considered as one of the most groundbreaking and influential saxophonists of his generation, he has also developed a unique voice as a composer and as a conceptualist, concentrating his efforts on perfecting a fine mix between Latin American Folkloric Music and Jazz.
Puerto Rico-born , Zenón has released nine recordings as a leader, and as a sideman he has worked with jazz luminaries such as The SFJAZZ Collective, Charlie Haden, The Mingus Big Band, Bobby Hutcherson, David Sanchez, Danilo Perez, Fred Hersch, Kenny Werner and Steve Coleman.

Washington D.C. natives Peter and Will Anderson are one of the most extraordinary sibling teams performing music today. Endorsees of D’Addario woodwind products, Peter and Will attended Juilliard in NYC and have headlined at The Blue Note, Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, New Orleans Jazz Festival, and many others.
Peter and Will’s 2012 release for Smalls records, Correspondence, features Kenny Barron and was chosen by Vanity Fair magazine alongside Miles Davis in “Four New Releases to Make You Love Jazz.” The Anderson’s recent trio release, Reed Reflections, was described by the Washington Post, “imaginatively unfolding in ways that consistently bring a fresh perspective to classic jazz tunes.” Their newest album, Deja Vu, features Albert “Tootie” Heath, and was called “a burner that reveals the band’s cohesiveness and spirit” by Mike Joyce in JazzTimes. |

The music of the Boomers covers many styles. They have been described in the folk song magazine Sing Out!, as “a refreshing reminder of the halcyon days of American folk music” and praised as “an enthusiastic testament to the sheer joy of singing and playing music.” In addition to original songs, the Boomers draw on sources including traditional tunes, contemporary artists like Greg Brown and Dougie MacClean, and classic “folksingers” like Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, and Phil Ochs.
Whatever the source of a song, it is “Boomerized” – recast in distinctive arrangements with rich three and four part harmonies.
