Jeremy’s style is informed by the current masters of the groove from the jam-band scene (Medeski, Martin, and Wood, Soul-Live, Derek Trucks Band.) He’s been playing festivals and jazz clubs in the New England region since the release of his first album. JB’s Band was also featured on Boogaloo to McDuff, a tribute to Jack McDuff, available on Scufflin’ Records. Back in the studio for his sophomore release, The Eel, on Flying Yak Records, Jeremy Baum knocks it out of the park with 10 Hammond organ and piano driven arrangements. It's an album of funky, bluesy new compositions as well as original arrangements of songs by Beck, Prince, James Brown and more. |

 The Rock Tavern Chapter of the Hudson Valley Folk Guild, at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Rock Tavern, will be featuring Stuart Kabak on Saturday, December 12 at 7:30 p.m. Open mic performances will be available to all. Cost of admission for this event is $6 ($5 for Folk Guild members and seniors).
Stuart Kabak, a member of the Hudson Valley Folk Guild since 1985, is a five-time Fast Folk magazine veteran and has won numerous songwriting awards from such organizations as The Great American Song Contest, The Los Angeles International Festival of New Music and The South Florida Folk Festival. Several of his songs have been covered by other artists. Stuart's songs are intelligent and often deeply spiritual, and he has been called a songwriter's songwriter. He has two well-produced CDs to his credit with a third in the making. He is also currently "Captain" of Pirate Camp (a growing community of songwriters and their friends/fans) at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival.

Greg Westhoff has performed on the Tonight Show and is the orchestra drummer for "Family Guy". Greg also performed with Walter Murphy and the Big Apple Band on the popular disco-era hit " A Fifth of Beethoven". Tony, has recorded several albums with Dylan, and has also recorded with Tom Waits, Loudon Wainwright III, Paul Simon, and others. He has played with Dylan since June of 1989, thus making him the musician who has played as a member of Bob's band longer than any other... a record that will never be broken. He is now considered Dylan's band leader.

| JAKE EHRENREICH is an accomplished musician, playwright and author. He is widely known for writing and performing in the hit musical A Jew Grows in Brooklyn which broke box office records in the heart of Broadway. A book by the same title was published by HCI, the Chicken Soup for the Soul publishers. Jake has also released a CD of Yiddish folk songs dedicated to his Dad entitled “Yiddish Unplugged”.
Mr Ehrenreich has appeared on Broadway in Dancin’, Barnum, and They’re Playing Our Song, and toured internationally as Ringo in Beatlemania. Off-Broadway performances include the title role in “Jonah” at the Public Theater and the rock review “A Hot Minute” at the historic Bottom Line in NYC. Often heard on radio and TV “jingles”, Jake was also bandleader at the iconic Rainbow Room and has performed with such diverse artists as Richie Havens, Tito Puente, Greg Allman, Del Shannon, John Davidson, and the Smothers Brothers.

Jazz double-bassist,Martin Pizzarelli, is best known for his work with his brother John Pizzarelli, appearing on many of his albums in a swing trio that includes pianists Ray Kennedy and Larry Fuller. On Wednesday, Dec.16th from 7:30-9:30PM, the Effron Auditorium at the Hudson Valley Community Center will host a JAZZ @ the Center special event . We are especially pleased to present The Holiday Concert, featuring The Blue in Green Jazz Quartet.
The Blue in Green Jazz Quartet is a Hudson Valley based group of experienced musicians playing classic jazz. The Quartet (Nick Lieto – trumpet, Bruce Eisenstein – guitar, Frank Camiola – upright bass, and Steve Olenski – drums) draws its repertoire from Bird, Sonny Rollins, Clifford Brown, Monk, Miles and others. Band members have recorded numerous CDs, performed throughout the U.S. and Europe, and have appeared with many well-known musicians.
Cover charge is $7, which includes light refreshments. a percentage of the proceeds will go to Hudson Valley Public Radio (HVPR.org) and WJZZ. |

 Veteran musicians Joe Gil (trombone), Neil Alexander (organ and keyboards) and Nadav Snir-Zelniker (drums) have put together a new group called the "Thunderhead Organ Trio". The group is taking the concept of the organ trio in a new and different direction, drawing on many different influences and styles.
The group explores the grittier, rockier side of the genre referencing groups like the original Tony Williams Lifetime and mines the jazz standard repertoire for obscure gems and deep cuts.
The group will be playing original tunes, jazz standards, lost classics and rare gems.

 "The Black Dirt Band" takes it's name from the fertile farming region in Orange County, New York. Known for it's fiery renditions of blues classics, this band has been turning heads in the Hudson Valley for years. The Black Dirt Band doesn't solely focus on the blues as other genre's find their way into a performance on any given night. The band features several guitarists who rotate through the band on different dates to keep the sounds fresh. Harmonica is also featured throughout. Joining the band for this show will be VAN MANAKAS(www.vanmanakas.com). Van is a solo artist having released several albums and was at one time a Berkeley school of music graduate and instructor.  Adam Falcon is a master guitarist and songwriter. And one of the most humble people we ever met. Adam once blogged, "Wrote a couple of songs that guitarist George Benson happened to cover."
