He’s been playing festivals and jazz clubs in the New England region since the release of his first album. JB’s Band was also featured on Boogaloo to McDuff, a tribute to Jack McDuff, available on Scufflin’ Records. Back in the studio for his sophomore release, The Eel, on Flying Yak Records, Jeremy Baum knocks it out of the park with 10 Hammond organ and piano driven arrangements. It's an album of funky, bluesy new compositions as well as original arrangements of songs by Beck, Prince, James Brown and more. |

Highlights included a 1990 performance with The Band and Ronnie Hawkins at The Berlin Wall, a concert produced by Roger Waters of Pink Floyd; cable TV specials (notably "The Bob Dylan Tribute" at Madison Square Garden; "The Road," a 1994 pay-per-view concert telecast from the Woodstock '94 Festival; and a 1995 appearance on the A&E Biography documentary "The Authorized Video Biography The Band."

E'lissa has recorded and released five albums, Shadows (1997), This Melodie (2003), Anymore (2008), Sweet as the Sun (2010), Like Water (2011). The Revelers, an authentic Cajun/zydeco band, perform at The Towne Crier on Sunday, Aug. 23, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 advance, $25 at the door.
The band, founding members of the Red Stick Ramblers and The Pine Leaf Boys, joined together to form a Louisiana super-group, combining swamp-pop, Cajun, country, blues and zydeco into a powerful tonic of roots music that could only come from Southwest Louisiana. Their new album, “Get Ready,” was just released May 12.
“Get Ready” features all new original songs from the band, sung in Cajun French and English. Southwest Louisiana is in the midst of another explosion of uniquely American music, with The Revelers at the forefront. As individuals they’ve contributed to seven separate Grammy-nominated records, working with Linda Rondstadt, Wayne Toups, Steve Riley, Cedric Watson and others.

 The Chris O'Leary Band's music is rooted in the blues and steeped in the tradition of Memphis, Chicago and New Orleans with shades of New Orleans, rockabilly and big, high-energy sound.
Levon Helm can be heard in Chris's early sessions, and sitting in with regular gigs. Soon, Levon asked Chris to join the house band at his new club in New Orleans. Chris’s band relocated and became the focal point of Levon Helm's Barn Burners, backing up touring stars and opening for New Orleans' finest players.
Their third CD on the Vizztone label, 'Live at Blues Now!' was recorded in Basel Switzerland with very special guest Alex Schultz.
Awards include Blues Blast Best New Artist Debut winner and BMA nominee.

 Born near Detroit, Michigan, Marshall Crenshaw received his first big break playing John Lennon in the off-Broadway company of Beatlemania. In 1987, he played Buddy Holly in the Richie Valens biopic “La Bamba.” While living in NYC, he recorded the single “Something’s Gonna Happen” for Alan Betrock’s Shake Records, which led to a deal with Warner Bros. His debut album, Marshall Crenshaw was acclaimed as a pop masterpiece upon its release in 1982 and established him as a first-rate songwriter, singer and guitarist. The record spawned the Top 40 single “Someday, Someway."

 Celebrated Salsa legend, Tito Nieves, began his career while participating in Cimarron, a New York-based orchestra. He then teamed up with H¨¦ctor Lavoe in 1977 and joined Conjunto Cl¨¢sico soon after. Starting his solo career in 1986, Tito set himself apart by singing salsa in English and Spanish. Among his key albums are 1988¡äs Classic, 1989¡äs Yo Quiero Cantar, 2004¡äs Fabricando Fantasias, and 2006¡äs Hoy, Manana y Siempre. He became a chart-topper in 1997 with the songs ¡°I Like It Like That¡± and ¡°I¡¯ll Always Love You.¡±
