The bell tolls 33 times, for the years of Christ’s life. The Christ Candle’s return symbolizes the meaning of the cross fulfilled. The retelling is done with a series of dramatic scenes interspersed with music. This moving story will be told by a cast of Broadway actors and professional musicians working side by side with members of the congregation. The church is thrilled to once again have Broadway actress Jeanne Jones directing the production which has become one of the most talked about services of the year.

Thursday 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm | Studio Stu Jazz, Alternative, and Contemporary | The Falcon 1348 Route 9W Marlboro, NY See Map |
Hey, I'm back playing one of the best venues ever...The Falcon! With my state-of-the-art Studivarious single string bass, unique Brooklyn humor, and unusual, hypnotic vocals, I take the very best in classic jazz, pop, and originals, and twist and bend them into ‘evocative jazz & exotic lounge’. Here's what they are saying... "Stu starts with standard tunes and a loop machine. except, nothing is sacred. Improv is rampant. Lyrics are changed at will. Familiar languages are obliterated. Harmonies are sweet and sour perfection. His music is serious, sophisticated and uncompromising in execution. He is one in-tune, out-of-tune, offbeat, beatnik." Check me out...
Thursday 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm | New monthly session of musicmaking, inner and improv with "Playing with Voice & Rhythm", hosted by Peter Blum & Bill Ross World, Acoustic. a participatory workshop | SAGE Center for the Healing Arts 6 Deming Street Woodstock, NY See Map |
An opportunity for musicians and those with no prior musical training at all to explore some of the basic ways that we can communicate non-verbally through the beautiful medium of pure vocal tones and rhythmic improvisations. In most primary and tribal cultures the entire community regularly joined in some form of percussion and chanting of tones or vocables.
Join Peter Blum and Bill Ross as we, as a community, find ways to rediscover these enriching practices, and have some fun with collective improvising. Note: Although certain aspects may be similar, this is not a drum circle, or a kirtan group.SAGE Center
