with JP Patrick & Friends
Blues/Rock/Jazz Fusion
12 Grapes Music & Wine Bar
12 North Division Street
Peekskill, NY   See Map
The 1st Thurs of each month, join saxman and vocalist JP Patrick & his band as they play for each other, and for you. The band explores the musical territory of Blues, R&B, Funk and Jazz. Every installment of "Sessions" is unique, as JP often invites different musicians to sit in and perform.

Every month, there's a new dynamic on the stage. It may be a sit-down electric-acoustic night, or dueling drummers, or exceptional harmonies with 3 back-up singers. You never know what MAGIC may happen at one of JP's Sessions, but you will never be disappointed in the calibre of the music.

Tonight features JP on lead vocals, Blues harp & alto sax (and sometimes a little stand-up comedy!), JOHNNY FEDS on guitar, DAVE McDOWELL on sax, "ELMO" JOHN on bass, CHRIS BURKE on keys and MANNY HENRY on drums.

Help us pack the place tonight. Live music is truly a gift. And tonight, it's FREE.

Marlboro, NY   See Map
Ed’s interpretation of the music of iconoclastic composer Frank Zappa has brought him wide recognition. His first CD of this material, “the ed palermo big band plays the music of frank zappa”, garnered rave reviews. Downbeat magazine gave “the ed palermo big band plays the music of frank zappa” a 4-star review. Palermo’s second CD of Zappa material, entitled “Take Your Clothes Off When You Dance” has received another rave from Downbeat.

The latest release, 'Oh No! Not Jazz!!' consists of two albums - the first explores Ed's distinctive interpretations of Frank Zappa's work and works from original Mothers Of Invention. Two notable pieces are performed here - One of Frank's best loved works, Inca Roads, with a vocal by guest Napoleon Murphy Brock contrasts with one of his most 'notoriously difficult' works, The Black Page # 2. The second album features Ed's own riotous, colorful compositions, featured here for the first time in over 25 years!
