The FALCON

Cyrille Aimée was born in Fontainebleau, France, to a French father and Dominican mother.

Every June, her village, Samois-sur-Seine, welcomes gypsies from all over Europe to set up caravans in nearby meadows for the Django Reinhardt Festival, in honor of the legendary guitarist who also once lived in Samois-sur-Seine. As a child, Cyrille fell in love with gypsy music and way of life. She spent evenings at their camps, learned their language and began to sing by the fire with Django's descendants. Adept at guitar, it was Cyrille's voice that struck her professor, who invited her to sing at the Django Festival in 2000.

Cyrille's major label debut will occur in 2013 with the album, "It's a Good Day." Produced by Fabrice DuPont (Shakira) at Flux Studios, it's a journey of jazz/pop infused with a gypsy spirit.

The Holmes Brothers, Sherman Holmes, Wendell Holmes, Popsy Dixon
Blues, Gospel, and Country. Rock, R&B, Soul
The FALCON
1348 Route 9W
Marlboro, NY   See Map
Over the course of their 30-plus year career, The Holmes Brothers-- (bassist/vocalist Sherman Holmes, guitarist/pianist/vocalist Wendell Holmes, drummer/vocalist & brother-in-spirit Popsy Dixon)-- have been feeding the souls of their devoted and ever-growing fanbase with a joyous and moving blend of blues, gospel, soul, R&B, rock ‘n’ roll and country. Their amazing three-part harmony singing, mixing Wendell’s gruff and gravelly vocals with Popsy’s soaring falsetto and Sherman’s rich baritone brings the soul and spirit of gospel music into everything they perform.

Equally gripping is the rhythmic foundation laid down by Sherman’s bass playing and Popsy’s drumming, perfectly complimenting Wendell’s blues-soaked guitar solos and church-inspired piano playing. The band easily blends Saturday night’s roadhouse rock with the gospel fervor and harmonies of Sunday morning’s church service.

THE SHOTS have a unique twist to some of the covers and originals they play....“Rocking Bagpipes” - They mix in the bagpipes to songs like The Black Eyed Peas, “I Gotta Feeling,” Billy Idol, “Dancing with Myself,” or AC/DC, “It’s a Long Way to the Top”.

As a matter of fact, Lenny’s original reggae bagpipe tune, "The Rasta Piper" won 2nd place in World Music in the 2006 Billboard Song contest.

“This is electric blues with an eclectic and somewhat demented spin. The group’s sense of humor is as much to be appreciated as their hard-rocking, guitar-heavy sound. They sound pretty damn good on the CD, a tight power trio that can get into a driving groove and stay there.” Philip Farber,Kingston Freeman

“The Outpatients are cool musical dudes. The guys make riffin’, rockin,’ fun music that sounds like a cross between Chuck Berry and a funkier version of those early Beatles, or least the Dave Clark Five.” Stephen Israel, The Times Herald Record

My primary instrument is my voice, and my guitar embellishes, accompanies, and decorates it. My sound and style are my own. Exposure to music and vocal styles of all types, ranging from standards to jazz to folk/traditional to blues, and to the music of Great Britain, the Appalachian Mountains of Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, and North Carolina, have influenced my sound and led me to describe my music as "eclectic acoustic." I have opened for Christine Lavin and Dave Cousins and performed in Showcases and the Open Mic Finals at the Towne Crier Cafe in Pawling, NY, and appeared in venues in the Hudson Valley and Southwestern CT. I perform a good mix of songs, including my own compositions, covers, and traditional music. I like to tell the stories of the traditional songs I sing and might focus on the song's provenance, themes, imagery, history, depiction of characters, etc.

This is a rare opportunity to hear Jean-Michel Pilc perform with Billy Hart and Boris Kozlov. No need to introduce the legendary drummer, whose genius for storytelling and rhythmic creativity has enchanted generations of jazz lovers. Billy and Jean-Michel share a deep affinity for beauty and for deep and meaningful statements, and their styles, both subtle and powerful in the same time, blend miraculously.

Joining them will be the amazing Boris Kozlov, centerpiece of Mingus Dinasty and Mingus Big Band since a few years now, a unique musician adding the final touch to this trio, which has toured internationally in recent years to the delight of many audiences.

The chemistry between these 3 musicians has been documented in the album "True Story".

"Eddie Jeff Cahill is a true wandering minstrel. Songs, stories, tall tales tumble from his lips like barrels over a waterfall, shattering ring and stave on the rocks of our complacency. As a bonus, Eddie Jeff's discourse is filtered through a thick Minnesota accent, redolent of Vikings and lutefisk. You better be there." - Utah Phillips. The variety of venues - renaissance festivals, folk and blues festivals, concerts, coffeehouses and even for Ed Sullivan - has given his work a grassroots connection. Eddie Jeff Cahill can make your heart smile and your mind dance.
