Gabriel Butterfield is the eldest son of the late, great Chicago Harmonica player Paul Butterfield, the first white Harmonica player to develop a style original and powerful enough to place him in the pantheon of Blues greats. Gabriel grew up on the road, on tour with his father; the music is literally in his blood. Like his father, music is the driving passion of Gabriel's life. In 2012, again residing in Woodstock, New York, Gabriel launched multiple projects, a documentary film on Paul Butterfield, and a working band that celebrates his father's music. The band has two configurations that share a handpicked line-up. The Woodstock-based 5-piece core band is fronted by Blues Brothers Band lead singer/harp player Rob Paparozzi, and includes Pete Levin, Jimmy Eppard and Jim Curtin. The larger band is fronted by Guitarist/vocalist Jimmy Vivino, band leader on the Conan O'Brien TV show, and features Steve Guyger, one of the industry's top traditional harmonica players. | ||
