Not a “business as usual” musician, Ed Palermo and his big band delivers Zappa, Hendrix, the blues of Paul Butterfield & Mike Bloomfield and original compositions with lush twists & turns.

“Ed was using the instrumentation of a traditional big band yet his arrangements and songs were anything but that. When I thought the music was going a certain direction, it would suddenly turn a corner. Ed has the ability to balance cohesiveness and unpredictability.” Gil Evans.

His CD, “the ed palermo big band plays the music of frank zappa” and “Take Your Clothes Off When You Dance”, garnered rave reviews from Downbeat.

with The Fred Savages, Drew Bordeaux, Geoff Hartwell, and Matt Norris
Rock (classic). '80's Rock
12 Grapes Music & Wine Bar
12 North Division Street
Peekskill, NY   See Map
It was the decade of the Rubix Cube, the birth of the Cosby Sweater, the heyday of PacMan and the reign of the Mullet. And the '80's party band, The Fred Savages, is not only "...the best-named band in the world" (Westchester Magazine's "This Weekend"), it's the most entertaining band EVER!

The Fred Savages plays "both types of party music" -- 80's Rock and 80's Rock! Tunes from Peter Gabriel, Ozzie Ozborne, Billy Idol, The Police, The Cars, U2, The Stray Cats and more.

Drew is intensely passionate about his music: "If there are 3 people in the room or 3,000 you can believe I'll be strumming and banging away until the strings are breaking." Geoff Hartwell is a slide guitarist who performs with rock icons Sonny Landreth, Andy Aledort and Grammy winner Yonrico Scott. Drummer Matt Norris is a professional musician who's toured the US and Europe.

Three powerhouse musicians. One bitchin' night!

12 Grapes loves nothing more than original artists who use their creativity and talent to express themselves through music. Harmonium is such a band. With each performance, we are more and more mesmerized by their sound.

To describe their music as "unique" is an understatement. Harmonium is a World-fusion band that incorporates very different styles of playing into one unique entity. The use of various instruments from around the world allows the band to create sounds that "free your mind and spirit, as well as spring your body into action."

Harmonium is a Yorktown-based band, featuring Mark McIntyre on guitar, Joe Schultz on didgeridoo (an Australian wind pipe) and hang (a cylindrical steel drum), and Mike Cesario on percussion.

The band just finished their first CD. If you love great listening music... creative, original music... tonight's your night.

Pat LaManna

Hootenanny Cafe Mini Concerts
Online: www.wtbq.com or 93.5FM, NY   See Map
Pat Lamanna grew up in New York City. She wrote and performed songs all her adult life. Her songs have been praised by Pete Seeger, Peter Yarrow, David Roth, etc. They have a strong folk influence, and cover issues such as peace, religion and the environment, and many personal topics as well. Pat was Sonny Ochs' pick to perform in the Folk DJ Showcase at the 2012 conference of the Northeast Regional Folk Alliance. She has two solo albums, "Full Circle" (2009) and "Do I Know My Song Well Enough to Start Singing Yet?" (2012). Doug Finn, Station Manager at FCAT-TV, has said: "Pat's lyrics evoke common situations, but do so in a sweet and elegant way, and with a true sense of the musicality of the words themselves. Of course, it doesn't hurt that Pat's guitar chops are tight and solid, and her voice evokes Judy Collins and Pete Seeger in one fell swoop." One of her songs, "Peace Pilgrim," is featured in part on Pete Seeger's latest album, "Pete Seeger: The Storm King."

The FALCON
1348 Route 9W
Marlboro, NY   See Map
You could say RoseAnn Fino grew up in the sticks - on a farm far enough away from any town, but close enough to New York City that she could feel its pull from an early age. Her parents were avid fans of 'ole country standards and rock & roll. She grew up in nightclubs and concert halls, following musicians that would be her idols. When she was five her father put a guitar in her hands. Eighteen years later, she still hasn’t put it down. RoseAnn headed to NYC when she was seventeen. There she found her voice as a songwriter, while keeping her country roots. She graduated from Hunter College with a degree in music and writing. Today, she lives in Queens with her friends and a black cat named Luna, writing songs by day and slinging drinks by night as a bartender. She is currently gigging around the city and finishing her first album, produced by Professor Louie, to be released later this year on Woodstock Records.
