Red Hook, NY   See Map
New York City-based acoustic duo The Lords of Liechtenstein first met in a hospital in July of 1994. "Hey, let's start a band!" said Dan Rauchwerk to his new little brother, Noah. "Waaah!" said Noah as he had just been born and wasn't quite able to speak yet, much less sing or play the ukulele. The brothers mutually agreed to wait a few years, until Noah was at least potty trained, before pursuing a musical career.

The duo formally joined forces as The Lords of Liechtenstein in 2007. With Noah on ukulele/vocals and Dan on acoustic guitar/banjo/vocals, they honed their stage show at local coffee houses and open mic nights in and around their native Holmdel, New Jersey. Since those early days,The Lords of Liechtenstein have brought their unique blend of folk music to clubs and coffeehouses all over the East Coast of the United States.

Blues, Jazz, and Rock (classic). Soul-Jazz
Rosendale Street Fest
Main Street
Rosendale, NY   See Map
Come out for some soul-jazz and blues with the JB3 Trio. In the tradition of Booker T & the Mgs and the Meters, Jeremy and his cohorts will be bringing the funk to the ArtBar!

With the bad mofo Matt Finck on guitar and ridiculously scary Chris Reddan on drums.

Hang on to your spleens, this is going to be epic.!!!

Jb (Hammond Organ) toured for over 6 years with Grammy nominated singer Shemekia Copeland. With Chris Reddan on drums and Matt Finck on guitar/vocals.

Both traditional and trailblazing...Highly recommended. ***Blues Review Magazine***

Baum's playing has a deep funk to it, with a big influence of Jimmy Smith. And Baum also brings in all kinds of other things as well - dissonant jazz, alternative rock, R&B. He's not too far off from what John Medeski does with Medeski, Martin and Wood, but with more of a blues streak to it. ***Jim Trageser. Escondido, Calif. ***

Jim Campilongo’s artistry and influential career, has earned Billboard Magazine’s accolade, “an American treasure”.

With nine albums of original material, and appearances on dozens of recordings, Jim is a working 'Treasure" in the industry. From his contribution on Cake’s million-selling “Prolonging the Magic” to lead guitar duties with Martha Wainwright, Teddy Thompson and The Little Willies (his band with Norah Jones), his virtuosity and originality have inspired a generation of guitar players. Campilongo delivers the best in Blues, Country, Jazz and Rock with elegance, sensitivity and wit earning him a fan base most instrumental guitarists never enjoy.

Fender Guitars has honored Campilongo by creating the Campilongo Signature Telecaster, an instrument of the highest quality created by Fender’s elite Custom Shop.

If Vito’s not performing throughout the Hudson Valley with “Four Guys in Disguise” (the band he co-founded in 1989, voted “Best of the Hudson Valley” for years running), he’s gigging with his newest brainchild, “Left by the Wayside:” a swampy blues and funk band or he’s opening for major acts like Eddie Money, The Doobie Brothers, Orleans, NRBQ and The Rascals.

Vito has backed up Sloan Wainwright, Professor Louie and the Cromatix, The Willie Amrod Band and David Roth, both nationally and internationally.

Vito Petroccitto is larger than life, both literally and figuratively. If you don’t leave an encounter with him smiling your head off, you may have no soul.

Barth and Wilson both landed in New York within a year of each other in the late 1980s. They met shortly thereafter and have worked together - as members of others' and each other's bands - often since then.

In 2010, they recorded for the first time as a duo. Home:Live in Columbia, Missouri, is the product of a live recorded performance of a house concert produced and released by We Always Swing Jazz Series.

For their performance at the Falcon, they invite two other log-time collaborators, Adam Cruz (who has played in quartets led by both Wilson and Barth) and Doug Weiss.

"the duo's chemistry is palpable" - All About Jazz "[Bruce Barth and Steve Wilson] communitcate with near-telepathic spontaneity. They unfurl rhythmic, harmonic and melodic ideas so seamlessly..." -JazzTimes "Some of the finest improvisation and close coordination between musicians" - Straight No Chaser

I learned about this lovely little gem from a dear friend a couple of years ago and was instantly attracted to it. The menu is interesting, the interior edgy and artful. I accosted Rob, the chef/owner, and gave him a CD and a card. I was delighted to receive an email from him. The date is set, and I'm really looking forward to this show! Hope to see you there, too.

Peekskill, NY   See Map
Combine Barry White, Teddy Pendergrass and James Brown, and you get LA's signature style - "old school romance" and fiery funk! His unique registry, being a bass/baritone singer, brings passion and fire to the romantic songs that are an important part of his musical experience.

The fervor and spiritual connections felt by his audiences is matched only by his ability to become "one" with his soulful, heart pounding funk. A celebratory aura is seen in his outlook on life and is evident in his performances.

LA has performed with the legendary Intruders as well as on many "Motown Review" assignments. He is currently the bass/ baritone singer and co-founder of "Tradition", a wonderful "classic soul" cover singing group.

LA has been a radio personality on his own "Quite Storm" show on 91.1 WOSS in New York and has been seen in commercials, and on documentaries for public and commercial television.

The Catskill 45s play a rare DANCE PARTY at the Byrdcliffe Barn, Upper Byrdcliffe Road, in Woodstock onFriday, July 26, 2013. Local musicians Robert Burke Warren, Josh Roy Brown, Tony Fletcher and Nancy Howell trade lead vocals, guitars and keyboards, propelled by Mark Lerner on bass and Lukas Lerner on drums.

For the past 5 years, the group has come together for an annual private party to play songs from precisely 45 years earlier. "We started with 1964, now we're up to 1968; it's a wild trip," said bassist Mark Lerner. "We always try to squeeze in one additional public show, usually a benefit."

The July 26 dance party is a reprise of a successful fundraiser the band and the Byrdcliffe Guild put together after Hurricane Irene, which raised over $3,000 for the Phoenicia Rotary's flood relief efforts. All profits from the July 26 show, including food and bar sales, will go toward the Library.
