The Commander (a/k/a George Frayne) formed the first incarnation of Commander Cody and his Lost Planet Airmen in the Midwest. Late ‘60s success in the San Francisco Bay area saw the band recording, touring and producing hits like “Hot Rod Lincoln,” “Smoke, Smoke, Smoke,” and “Beat Me Daddy Eight to the Bar” through “Don’t let Go” in 1975. Considered one of the best Boogie Woogie Piano Players.
Woodstock Records Artist Professor Louie – keyboards/vocals/accordion has a long list of credentials that go back to producing & playing for The Band, Rick Danko, Garth Hudson & Levon Helm. Louie has produced and performed on Commander Cody’s last two CD’s Live from The Island and Dopers Drunks & Everyday Losers. Louie is on the road performing and recording with his group, The Crowmatix, playing over 150 shows a year and they have eight CD’s.

The band explores the musical territory of Blues, R&B, Funk and Jazz. Every installment of "Sessions" is unique, as JP often invites different musicians to sit in and perform.
JP has been on the Blues music scene for years, and is a tremendously talented front-man, vocalist and songwriter. He plays Blues harp and alto sax, and always performs with passion and energy. His audiences feel it... and love it. His original songs are full of wit and charm. Songs like "Simple Request (Stop Breaking My Balls)" and "Shy of Indigo" showcase his talents as a funky Blues musician who's taking his art to the next level.

| Laura Nyro was the quintessential singer/songwriter/pianist -- one of the first. Her groundbreaking music crossed the genres of folk, rock and jazz. She was one of the most covered artists in the 1960s & 1970s (Eli's Coming, Stoned Soul Picnic, Wedding Bell Blues, Sweet Blindness). She tragically passed in 1997. Finally, in 2012 she was inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. In their new show, "Spero Plays Nyro," The Christine Spero Group will bring their own kind of power to Laura Nyro's music. Their arrangements with improvisation mixed with Laura's original arrangements have preserved the integrity of her music. Christine was the winner of the USA Songwriting Competition in the Jazz Category with her song, "He Wasn't Always That Way." Her music is now listened to around the world. Joining Christine will be saxophonist/percussionist Elliot Spero, bassist Scott Petito and drummer Peter O'Brien. The group will also be performing some of Christine's original songs. |

 Wicked Knee, veterans of the New York City downtown jazz scene, are a juke joint, ragtime, jazz rock, avant-garde funk brass band, intentionally keeping everything 'Heels Over Head' as the title of their new album so aptly points out. These maverick instrumentalists and composers, have performed at just about every music festival around the globe over the course of their respective careers, certifying this unique New York City collective as a who's who of the international music scene. Anker is a solo acoustic singer/ songwriter raised in Upstate NY but now residing in central NJ. Even though his teenage years were in the 90’s, the music of the Woodstock era and modern acoustic rock can be found in the stories of Anker’s songs.
Anker's self-produced debut CD “Deliver Down” was released world wide on August 7, 2012 to all digital music retailers. "Deliver Down" is the organic middle ground between solo-acoustic and a full band. Anker layers his acoustic guitar, a ukulele (and a bass on some tracks) to bring out the hooks and infectious melodies. This album gives Anker the chance to explore his songs and present them with more detail and fuller arrangements without getting lost in the noise of a band which would take away the charm of his acoustic roots.

 Wooden Nickel—Chris Shamkin, Lance Middlebrook, John Mathews, and Ken Hafford—is a four-piece acoustic/electric musical group based in Millerton, NY. Together since 2007, the group’s repertoire consists of an eclectic mix of folk, traditional, obscure covers and original music.
The band’s unique sound is characterized by three part vocal harmonies and original tunes, written by Shamkin and Middlebrook, whose styles differ considerably but complement each other.
Doors open 7pm. $5 suggested donation at door.

Ladybird will be doing a special full-band performance with Meg Montgomery on trumpet. We've thrown a couple of jazz standards, a little Marvin Gaye & some Leon Russell a la George Benson into the repertoire and expect to have a great time at this intimate venue.

 Dave Alvin, Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter and self-described "barroom guitarist," is widely considered to be one of the pivotal founders of the current Americana music scene. A fourth generation Californian, Dave Alvin grew up in Downey, California as the local landscape quickly evolved from orange groves and dairy farms to tract homes and freeways. He went on to found The Blasters with his brother, Phil, a group he left to go on to other bands including "X" and The Knitters, record solo projects such as King Of California, and to head project groups such as The Guilty Men and The Guilty Women. As Dave says with sly chuckle, "My songs are not necessarily true, but they're all autobiographical."

 The song-writing team of Erin Hobson and Steven Ross churn out songs that surprise. This one-of-a-kind ensemble weaves tapestries of musical fare with unexpected depth and sensitivity. The duet’s live show is uplifting and textured - combining musical styles into a sound that’s totally new.
Erin Hobson (guitar/vocals) has performed nationally, opening for Blue Oyster Cult, Hoobastank, The Bret Michael Band, Dave Mason and Jakob Dylan. She is known for her poetic lyrics, masterful guitar technique and unique vocal quality is intimate while her guitar virtuosity and explosive phrasing is anything but soft. The combination often startles.
Steven W. Ross (bass/production) Multi-instrumentalist; Ross has scored and played for radio, TV and film, including two original songs in the 2010 Sundance award-winning mock rockumentary “Colin Fitz Lives!” Steven’s arrangements and “never sag, never brag” bass lines are inventive, unique melodic grooves that define The Compact’s sound.

| Twenty five year old New Hampshire based singer/songwriter Tristan Omand has stories beyond his years. They unfold in finely crafted songs, accented by an unchained, yet clear and galloping style of folk flat-picking. His latest album, “Wandering Time” marked a new chapter in his own story, as it was recorded in a glorious sounding 19th century victorian home, with a Kickstarter campaign funding the pressing of the album on vinyl. Tristan has had the pleasure of opening for acts ranging from Livingston Taylor, to Side One Dummy Records artist Audra Mae, and nationals Larry & His Flask, among many others all over the east coast, in addition to two solo tours spanning from New York to New Orleans.

 Enjoy the silky tones and fabulous laid-back music of a bygone era. "That’s Life" is a tribute to "Old Blue Eyes" and the post-war crooners of the 40's and 50's. Classic songs from Frances Albert Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby and Nat King Cole. It was music we listened to from the big valve radio, or in a smoky bar with the lights low and cocktail in hand.
NYC bartender Ben Turner will be joining Andrea behind the bar, mixing up Classic post-Prohibition Cocktails such as the Aviation, Vesper, Moscow Mule and others.
Led by drummer Greg Westhoff (The Westchester Swing Band) the band features our very own crooner, Joe Carpentieri. With John Hahn on trombone, John Carriddi on guitar,

The Daisy Jopling Band with the Westchester/Putnam Youth Symphony (WPYS) will be one of the first events to take place under the new name and new management. Together the two will debut The Concerto for Violin, Rock Band and Orchestra, a highly anticipated collaboration between Jopling, WPYS, and acclaimed German composer Tristan Schulze. The concert event will take place on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at 7:00pm in Peekskill.

 The Grand Slambovians (formerly Gandalf Murphy & The Slambovian Circus of Dreams) have been called "the hillbilly Pink Floyd," which is an apt description, particularly if you throw in elements of Incredible String Band, Neil Young, The Band, Dylan and maybe even some Frank Zappa as well -- a clear indicator of its singularly indescribable uniqueness. At the same time, their sound and even their songs feel so familiar, so classic, it's as if you've been listening to these characters all your life. Upon returning recently from the U.K. this fall where they spread their contagious brand of quirky Americana from Glasgow to Penzance, the band completed work on their fourth studio album, The Grand Slambovians. The advent of The Grand Slambovians is both the band's latest reincarnation and the title of their new, soul stirring album.

| Over the past eight years, singer/songwriter Eleanor Kleiner and French bassist Elie Brangbour have traveled the world on an adventure that began when the two met at music school in London. Full of imagery and stories of the human condition, The Whispering Tree’s songwriting is the backbone of their sound and has been heavily influenced by their travels abroad, which have taken them from South America to China.
Keyboard Magazine said The Whispering Tree "tastily combines wistful folk, mellow rock, and pinches of gypsy jazz and bluegrass into a compelling compilation of tightly written tunes" and Deli Magazine deemed them "one of the most talented duos to take stage in NYC."
