BRYAN LEE @ BRIAN'S BAKYARD BBQ
Lee completely lost his eyesight by the age of eight. His avid interest in early rock and blues was fostered through the 1950s by late night listening sessions via the Nashville-based radio station WLAC-AM, where he first encountered the sounds of Elmore James, Albert King and Albert Collins.
By his late teens, Lee was playing rhythm guitar in a regional band called The Glaciers that covered Elvis Presley, Little Richard and Chuck Berry material. Through the 1960s, Lee's interest turned to Chicago blues and he soon found himself immersed on that scene, opening for some of his boyhood heroes. In 1979 he released his first album named Beauty Isn't Always Visual.
In January 1982, Lee moved to New Orleans, eventually landing a steady gig at the Old Absinthe House on Bourbon Street becoming a favorite of tourists in the city's French Quarter.

Saturday 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm | Poundcake, Teddy Thomson, Jeff Hill , Ethan Eubanks | The FALCON 1348 Route 9W Marlboro, NY See Map |
Poundcake is truly a labor of love, and was born when it was suggested by drummer/singer Ethan Eubanks to singer/guitarist Teddy Thompson that he should think about doing a project between album cycles that would keep him off the streets and out of the bars. Bassist/singer Jeff Hill was the natural and only consideration when it came to a bassist. Teddy Thompson is the son of folk legends Linda and Richard Thompson and doesn't need to be reminded of that anymore. He has a banging career as a singer-songwriter, and Google him, he has done things, and blah, blah, blah. Jeff Hill is one of the best bass players on Kent Avenue between Division and South 11th, and has played with Rufus Wainwright, Shooter Jennings, Marshall Crenshaw, and blah, blah, blah. Ethan Eubanks is considered by himself and his mother to be an amazing studio drummer, and has played on records by Julianna Hatfield, Joseph Arthur, Crash Test Dummies, and blah, blah, blah.

Returning after a long absence from the Towne Crier's stage, Dean Friedman first marked his entry into pop consciousness with the top 20 chart success of his infectious hit single, Ariel, a quirkily irresistible and uncategorizable pop song about a free spirited, pot-smoking, vegetarian Jewish girl in a peasant blouse who lived, as the lyric goes, "...way on the other side of the Hudson." Friedman scored again with the release of his follow up album, "Well, Well," Said The Rocking Chair, and the now classic hit single, Lucky Stars. Lucky Stars paved the way for a slew of Friedman hits, including familiar radio staples such as Lydia, Rocking Chair, McDonald's Girl and Woman Of Mine. Friedman's latest CD, Submarine Races, has been receiving rave reviews from fans and critics alike, with lyrical soundscapes and story-songs, bursting with life, love and survival in a surreal world.More info at the Towne Crier Cafe

![]() Sunday 7:30 pm | HEY BABY Band, with special guest Don Lowe Rock (classic) | Towne Crier Cafe 130 Route 22 Pawling, NY See Map |
This year marks the 30th anniversary of The Hey Baby Band. The concept was brought to the stage by Jimmy Ekizian, Hey Baby's remarkable lead singer and trumpet player. Uninspired by the MTV revolution of the '80s, Jimmy launched a band capable of recapturing the magic of the music from the '60s and '70s. R&B, Soul, Funk, Blues and Rock 'n' Roll make up the foundation that keeps the magic alive. "Hey Baby" recreates the music of Otis Redding, James Brown, Wilson Pickett, Van Morrison, Chicago, Sly & The Family Stone, The Beatles, The Doors, Joe Cocker, Santana, The Allman Brothers, War, Elvis Costello and many others -- with a signature sound all their own. Infectious rhythms and dynamic horns keep the crowds dancing to the very last note.More info at the Towne Crier Cafe
