 Alva Nelson, a multi-faceted musician, has performed & recorded with Lightnin' Hopkins, Kirk Whalum, and Regina Belle. He has been musical director for "Ain't Misbehavin'", "Violet", and "Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill" and produced Dorothy Leigh's "A Second Chance", for which he wrote three songs. "Soul Eyes" is Alva Nelson's latest jazz piano release.
Nelson has received three "Meet the Composer" Grants; won 1st Place in the Composers' Guild Composition Contest with "Synonymous Dichotomy" ('83), "Buster's Bounce" ('85) and "Tranquil Jubilation ('88); and was selected as a semifinalist in the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition.
Throughout the 1990's, Nelson performed, arranged, and orchestrated music for the Boys Choir of Harlem, including engagements at Carnegie Hall & Alice Tully Hall with Wynton Marsalis and Kathleen Battle; Hubert Laws and the St. Luke's Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic with Zubin Mehta.

 Marc Von Em's sound is rooted in Blues, Folk, Rock and Reggae. His fluid acoustic guitar playing and rich powerful voice will blow you away. Marc has toured nationally and internationally with the Rob Thomas Band. Rob remarked, "I asked him to open up a 10,000 seat gig. Just him, his guitar, and his songs. He killed it!" Marc has also shared bills with Lucy Kaplansky, Martin Sexton, Richie Havens, Glenn Tillbrook and others.
Marc's 4th studio recording, "CRASH BOOM POW", has been selling like gangbusters. From solo acoustic performances to full band funk, this recording runs the gamut of styles while Marc's unmistakable voice and stellar guitar playing form a cohesive glue that bonds the music together. Her passion for blues is clear as her sultry sometimes raw always electrically charged voice pulls you in and rocks your soul. Deborah has been a regular guest performer with the T Blues Band at Terra Blues on Bleeker Street, in NY City, donates time and talent doing ministries at prisons and Drug Rehabilitation Centers, while recording her third CD, creating doodle art and keeping her day job working as an aid in a Catholic School.

 The core trio of instrumental project A VIBERATTO (vibraphonoist Jimmy Goodman of Leopard Studio in Stone Ridge; former Ministry producer/keyboardist Kol Marshall, and string king Guthrie Lord) debuts their 2nd album, "B", with a collective show at BSP Lounge, 323 Wall Street in Uptown Kingston, this Thursday Nov 29 at 8pm. Suggested donation is $5. Opening act Emily Sprague performs at 8pm, with A VIBERATTO trio at 9pm, and a late-night set with Todd Nelson's TN3 at 10pm. Intermezzo sets by DJ Wavy Davy. 18+ show with photo ID, cash bar (21+) and digital copies of the "B" album will be available for sale.

Greg Westhoff's Westchester Swing Band is back to entertain us with their incredible talent and musicianship. This world-class 18-piece Big Band features a full horn section with 5 sax's, 4 trombones, 4 trumpets, and world-class drummer and bandleader Greg Westhoff. The band performs classic Swing music, Sinatra, Broadway selections and songs from the '40's, '50's and more.
Bedford Chamber Concerts continues its season highlighting young, international stars with guest clarinetist, Israeli, Moran Katz. Ms. Katz will join renowned musician Anthony Newman, and the Bedford Chamber Ensemble in an evening of masterpieces by Mozart and Beethoven.
