Whether you plan to stay the whole day or are just stopping by, Barton Orchards is an excellent place for the family to visit. we encourage you to head to the Town of Beekman and see for yourself what makes Barton Orchards one of the premier destinations in the Hudson Valley.

Since 1983 Clifton has been a member of Sonny Rollin’s group, touring and performing with him worldwide and appearing on ten Sonny's recordings. In 2009 Clifton, as a leader, produced the highly anticipated Decade, his first recording in approximately ten years.

JazzWax, Marc Myers wrote that Clifton "...shines as a stylist and storyteller... On Decade, Anderson demonstrates a new level of maturity and offers a warm, round and purposeful sound... [His] compositions are all strong and fresh, and they avoid being derivative. Best of all, they are tailor made to show off the trombonist’s lyricism and powerful chops..."

CHRISTINE LAVIN, guest Don White
Singer-Songwriter, Comedic
Towne Crier Cafe
130 Route 22
Pawling, NY   See Map
Christine Lavin's smart and funny take on contemporary life and foible make for a one-of-a-kind concert. As a songwriter, she brings the shrewd insight & wit of a humor columnist together with a novelist's eye for evocative details. While the title of her 19th solo album may sound like a disclaimer --I Don't Make This Stuff Up... I Just Make It Rhyme-- it is clear she's an expert on our days and our ways. Abundantly clever and unabashedly fond of a good laugh, she is fearless; opening her show to the audience in a way that ensures every concert is a one-off. Her music and her spontaneity are unequivocal departures from today's overly choreographed numbers and amped-up lyrics ...passing out recipes or goodie bags for people whose birthday falls during the holidays, drafting audience members onstage to join her for certain numbers and then improvising brilliant song ripostes as follow up.

It has sold over 30 million copies world-wide. It is ranked #10 in Rolling Stone's "500 Greatest Albums of All Time". It went Platinum 19 times. It is "The Beatles", aka The White Album.

Tonight, we pay tribute to this well-loved collection with the acoustic trio, The Aardvarks: James Bai on guitar/ vocals, Jeff Ward on bass/vocals and Cora Impenna on guitar/vocals. They play each and every song, in order, exactly as on the album.

Joining the band is special guest, Scott Freiman. At the opening of the show and during intermission, Scott will treat us to a lively and interesting presentation called "Deconstructing the White Album". Scott uses rare audio and video of the Beatles in action, talking about their songwriting and production techniques.
