The a capella septet performs songs from all the seasons in its annual concert. The members are Eric Erickson, Ellen Reitemeyer, Miriam Berg, Alan McKnight, Susan Phillips, Craig Balmer and Kate West. Call 845-679-9160 for more information.
Kairos will present its annual Lessons & Carols service at Holy Cross Monastery. The service will include seasonal sacred music from the Renaissance to the present and will be interspersed with readings from the Old and New Testaments. The service is free to the public and free-will offerings will be collected for a local Hudson Valley charitable organization. Come join Kairos for a truly spiritual and inspirational afternoon and start your Christmas season off right! A holiday reception will follow the service.
The 2008 Holiday Concert will include a variety of seasonal, sacred, Hanukkah, spiritual, and novelty selections, including familiar favorites such as “Silver Bells”, “Oh Come, Oh Come, Emmanuel”, “O Holy Night”, “Christmas Time is Here”, “Grown Up Christmas List”, and “(Variations on) Jingle Bells”. A performance of “Away in a Manger” will be sung with guest artists, the Arlington District Select Chor-Us, directed by Mrs. Kathy Healy. The ADSC is the ‘public relations’ ensemble for the Arlington Central School District, and the group’s motto is “The joy of singing through community service”.

From her albums you can tell that Cheryl is a gifted songwriter with a beautiful voice. But, if your idea of a folk singer/songwriter concert is a bunch of people clapping politely after songs, and then sitting quietly while the performer says things like "This next song is about..." – well, you've never seen a Cheryl Wheeler concert before! Cheryl's concerts are more like what you would find at a comedy club than what you'd expect to find at a folk music concert. She is a natural story teller with a fantastic sense of humor that will have you rolling in the aisles. She might then just as naturally sing a song that leaves you wiping tears from your eyes. Her entire concert is like that emotional roller coaster we call life.

Bacchus in the center of New Paltz tries a DJ experiment on December 3, 10 and 17 with DJ Wavy Davy and roster of rotating special guests. Expect bossa, breakbeat/rare groove, old school hip hop, reggae, acid jazz and more. Requests taken if the wi-fi is on. Cheap beer, pub food and a hip crowd of musicians and their fans. Dancing allowed and encouraged.

Each year for the past four years Joey Spallina accompanied by family and friends has ushered in the Holiday season with a night of rocking good music. This year Joey who happens to be one of New York's leading studio musicians will be joined by his new band and will feature original songs from his latest debuted cd as well as some great covers and holiday tunes. The kitchen will stay open a little latter than usual and the bar is sure to serve up your favorite spirit. There is a $10. cover at the door.

Myles Returns; a 13 yr old, multi-instrumentalist prodigy playing his unique blend of Rockin' Rhythm & Soul. His performances include songs from James Brown, Wilson Pickett, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash, Myles' own Originals and many more. He's played at the top venues in New York City; BB Kings & the Iridum Jazz Club in Times Square, The Cutting Room, Tera Blues, The Red Lion, South Street Seaport, Madison Square Garden (Knick's Half-Time Show) and many others in the Tri State area. Hank was leaving his favorite hangout bar on sixth street one early afternoon. as he stepped off the curb and into the street he turned, for just a second, to catch a glance for a moment, of a drop dead gorgeous blonde. Our hero dazzeld, for a moment. time slowed,her red lips smiled and thats when the beer truck brakes failed and ran ol Hank over with a thud. Hank rose like a ghost white and shaky, and then he saw smoke rising from the brim of his hat! His head was on fire! a crazy rhythm section appeared and put it out with the spray of beer. And thats when the Skinny 3 first appeared, They dusted Hank off, sat him comfortably in there long black cadillac and started there trip down the lost highway.
