A fun-filled evening of music from the 60s and 70s Performed by over 25 of your favorite musicians and singer/songwriters from the Hudson Valley -- and one hot house band…

$25 / includes appetizers, dinner, plus we’re raffling off 3 pairs of tickets to the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival!

The Golden Apple Coffeehouse is heading into its third season of providing a wonderful and inspiring venue for musicians and audiences to share music and community. By June we will have presented over 40 (mostly local) performers in nine separate concerts, and have thrilled and entertained hundreds of audience members. The proceeds from "Wall to Wall 60's and 70's" actually helps fund the coffeehouse for the next season, so it is a crucial evening for us to raise what we need in order to have a next season.

Mahopac, NY   See Map
We welcome back our good friend Thomas Earl. Thomas a resident of nearby Cold Springs has literally transversed the highways and byways of the American music scene. Briefly taking a detour to enter corporate America he quickly learned it was not for him. He's back, and thats good. His new Album Golddust Magic is an introspective look at his life and that of Americas recent past. He instills a number of different musical disiplines as he weaves some great storytelling married with memorable melodies. There is no cover for this evenings performance, your generosity is always appreciated. Dockside is located just 3.8 miles off the Bryant Pond Road exit of the Taconic Parkway.

In 1998 The Circus emerged from the misty hills of Sleepy Hollow, New York and exploded upon the Hudson Valley music scene with their stunning self-produced debut release, "A Good Thief Tips His Hat". The quirky quartet then began touring throughout the northeast and rapidly developed a fiercely loyal, all-ages following. Featured recently in Relix Magazine, the New York Times and on the CBS hit show, Joan of Arcadia, the band's charismatic live performances and whimsical blend of folk, rock, hillbilly and pop have simply captivated audiences and critics alike. The music of Slambovia has been described as "Hillbilly-Floyd, folk-pop", "alt-country roots-rock, and "surreal Americana". Gandalf Murphy and The Slambovian Circus of Dreams ... USA Today named Ellis Paul the "Best Bet for Stardom," partly because of constant radio airplay, plus years of endless touring -- from Alaska to Miami, coffeehouses to Carnegie Hall, the Newport Folk Festival to The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. His songs have also been featured in movies such as the Jim Carey hit, Me, Myself and Irene. According to Performing Songwriter Magazine, "Ellis combines the sensibilities of Bob Dylan, Bill Morrissey and John Gorka and delivers it with a passion that sets him apart in the company of a new breed of Songwriters." "Ellis Paul is now a national folk star...literate, provocative, urbanely romantic." -The Boston Globe.

RORY BLOCK
Blues, Folk/Traditional
Towne Crier Cafe
130 Route 22
Pawling, NY   See Map
Rory Block's music represents "some of the most singular and affecting country blues anyone -- man or woman, black or white, old or young -- has cut in years," as Rolling Stone critic Dave Marsh described it. Bonnie Raitt calls her "an inspiration to me since we started out." From Delta-style blues to ragtime guitar to rock, R&B and gospel, this legend's singing combines purity, grit and heart. Her incredible energy gives new life to the more obscure pockets of the blues repertoire, making the songs seem as much her own as do her very own compositions which preserve these traditional blues themes -- leaving in her wake 17 solo albums that have earned 4 WC Handy Awards and a gold record in Europe.

D*J*J*T, Jerry Tobin
Rock (classic), Blues, and Motown/R&B
O'Donoghue's of Nyack
66 Main St.
Nyack, NY   See Map
On any weekend night in Nyack, you can find deejays up and down the street playing the same bass-heavy dance mixes that shake the streetlights, while peppering the music with glib hiphop comments meant to evoke NYC flash.

Jerry Tobin, aka D.J.J.T. is different from your run of the mill musicmaster. The reasons are twofold: The Mix, and The Man.

Jerry has put together 50 years of great music over the last 30 seasons... a more comprehensive mix than any other deejay in the county. So, he can dredge up virtually any individual request, while maintaining an atmosphere that the general mood demands. He whips up a recipe of great classic rock and blues, seasoning it with Motown, dance, and even doo-wop, but doesn’t neglect current Top 40 hits. It’s music that gets to your feet... and your head!

DJJT, as always, performs at OD's with no cover charge.
