Marc Black Band featuring Warren Bernhardt (from Steely Dan), Michael Esposito (from the Blues Magoos), Don Davis (from the Waitresses and Microscopic Septet), and Eric Parker (of Steve Winwood and Joe Cocker). They've been Woodstock's jam band for so long and they're still rocking hard and with an authenticity that all those years together make possible. A reviewer from Paris recently wrote, "I marvel at the live performances by his bands. From the '70s right down to the present day, Marc's chant-based songs & improvisational rave-ups have kept dancing souls movin' and groovin'."

There will also be some cool guest appearances from lots of Woodstock fav's including Rosy Rion and poet Mitch Ditkoff. His new book of poetry will be for sale.

Tickets are twenty bucks. For more information about Marc and the Band...marcblack.com

Cloud 9 & Studebaker Brown

As a singer/songwriter from Chester, N.Y, Josh Tangney has been writing music and poetry since he was 15 years old. Through his words he creates songs of passion, experience, life, love and loss. Tangney’s influences span from acoustic and country music to R&B and hip-hop and everything else in between.

Cloud 9 has recently grown into their own. With a style of music that is equally satisfying on both cd or live at shows. Comprised of six musicians whos goal is to stretch genres and create a new vibe of music that lends equally to tight instrumental as well as catchy word play. With shows that drive hard energy anthems combined with mellow mood crowd pleasers the band has constructed a sound that has made the music experience fun again. Cloud 9 is going places, this is not a pompus statement from the boys but rather a true to life claim of there recent influx of shows reaching as far as texas. Though the band is in its infancy as far as its life span all members are seasoned vets of other projects and together deliver a sound that is catchy and new. Still bein easy but now in your neck of the woods.

Stuedabakerbrown: possibly the world’s handsomest band, easily one of the friendliest, and definitely one of the quickest rising talents of the NYC music scene. This group of fun-loving guys from Monroe, NY is the reason that many a fan has poured into show after show. Their toe-tapping blend of two parts rock n’ roll reverence, one part “anything else,” is rivaled in quality only by their propensity for having an infectiously good time.

Doors open at 6:30 pm
Tickets: $8.00 call 845-469-4595 for reservations.

STEVE KATZ & DANNY KALB, also PAUL GEREMIA
Acoustic, Blues, and Roots Music
Towne Crier Cafe
130 Route 22
Pawling, NY   See Map
STEVE KATZ was part of the legendary Greenwich Village scene, studying guitar with Dave Van Ronk & Reverend Gary Davis, and founding the Even Dozen Jug Band along with John Sebastian, Maria Muldaur, Stefan Grossman & David Grisman. He is probably better known, though, for The BLUES PROJECT, and for founding BLOOD SWEAT & TEARS.

A protege of the great Dave Van Ronk, DANNY KALB established himself in New York's seminal folk & blues scene where he was first known as a solo performer and session player with Phil Ochs, Judy Collins, Pete Seeger, etc. In 1965, Kalb founded the THE BLUES PROJECT along with Steve Katz and Al Kooper.

Since 1966, PAUL GEREMIA has built a reputation as one of the finest bluesmen country blues fingerpickers alive. With his 6 & 12 string guitars, harmonica, piano, plus his husky, soulful voice and an innate sense of the humor & drama, he keeps the tradition fresh with both standard & obscure tunes, as well as his own.

Muddy Cup Coffee House
58 Main Street
New Paltz, NY   See Map
This will be a return show for us at the warmest Coffee House in the middle of New Paltz. We'll be featuring a more "acoustic" performance in our busking style [made us a must-see in Washington Square Park last summer], and it also highlights our vocals, so no hiding behind the amplification, Horatio. We'll be playing 2 sets, so don't feel like you'll miss out if you show up a tad bit late. An all-ages show, especially nice for those who prefer a non-alcoholic environment.

And of course, we give a special thank-you to the Muddy Cup for featuring our single "When Your Baby's Gone" on their myspace page.
