Chris Victor (songwriter/frontman of Johnny Unstoppable) will be one of the acoustic performers of the John St. Jam. It'll a great night of intimate acoustic performances.
The John St. Jam--a growing acoustic institution --we will be sharing the evening with these wonderful performers and songwriters: Steve and Terri Massardo, Kate McCoy, Chris Victor, Carl Bethge, Barbara Dempsey and Charity Valk.
Our cozy setting is the best way to listen to great acoustic music. It's intimate, comfortable and the performers are always among the best in the Hudson Valley. And it's still only a $3 admission!
An outstanding and highly original singer, Sloan is a compelling performer best known for her rich contralto voice, intensely personal lyrics, and an innovative approach to song. Hard to categorize, her musical style melds the best of pop, folk, jazz, and blues to create a soulful hybrid. Her personal appearances are forceful and uplifting, her stage persona self-described as "we take our audience on a journey, we come in full tilt and do our show."
Mojo Myles is a 12-year old multi-instrumentalist who plays Guitar, Piano and Sings well beyond his years. He's been fronting his own band since the age of 9 yrs old. He’s been referred to as "Not your Average Prodigy" playing a unique blend of Rockin' Rhythm & Soul. His performances include songs from Ray Charles, James Brown, Wilson Pickett, Dr John, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash and many more. He recently played guitar in a Broadway Production; "Rockers on Broadway" at BB Kings in Times Square NYC. He also recently performed on Piano during half time show of the Knicks opening game at Madison Square Garden. Sid Bernstein (who's best known as the man who brought the Beatles to America) says Myles is "a young prodigy that will captivate and thrill an audience".
