Dan Shaut presents a benefit for the Alzheimer's Association in honor of his grandmother, Marie Wojcio. Start with a beginner's dance lesson with Chester and Linda Freeman at 6:15. The ten piece SJP performs 3 - 45 minute dance sets with six horns, male and female vocalists and rhythm section. During the breaks watch dance performances by Hudson Valley Swing Kids and Chester's Cool Kittens and listen to the KHS Jazz Band, Hudson Valley Youth Chorale and After Hours (Sweet Adeline's Quartet.) Joe Dupell, Miachael Garulli, Jeff Lloyd and Ryan Neuburger have been playing music together for over ten years. What started as an innocent lunch period jam-session at Goshen High School has become South Florida's obliterating, multi-headed monster known as The Heavy Pets. Under various lineups and names (Anthem, My Friends Band) they have played over 400 gigs together and have shared the stage with such names as Bernie Worrell, Oteil Burbridge and the Peacemakers, Tea Leaf Green, Johnny Sketch and the Dirty Notes, George Clinton and Parliament/Funkadelic. Guitarist Jeff Lloyd made his South Florida debut jamming with Georga and P-Funk at Revolution New Years Eve '04-'05 and the Culture Room on 4/20/05. Appalachian Uprising featuring Steve LutkeFasten your seatbelts; you’re in for the Indy 500 of banjo playing. Perhaps best known regionally as a member for many years of New Jersey-based Kentucky Roots, Steve Lutke brings to the table a musical family background fueled by a keen sense of exploration and experimentation. The M SHANGHAI STRING BAND of Brooklyn, New York, started in 2002 as a monthly show in the basement of a local chinese restaurant, the M Shanghai Bistro. Locals began to call the band "M Shanghai". The name stuck. The crowds grew.
