Larry Chance & The Earls, Ava K. Levy-LynnBodles Opera House
39 Main Street
Chester, NY   See Map
Spanning from the late 1950's into the new millennium, the Earls have continuously been pleasing audiences with their flawless harmonies, ceaseless vitality and endearing dedication to their fans. Larry Chance & the Earls represent the music that helped define Rock 'N' Roll, the original doo wop era that put the street corner- society onto the national charts. Larry and company have placed many songs on the charts, including: "Life Is But a Dream", "Never", "I Believe", and of course the classic "Remember Then". They still enjoy performing them, and always include the audience as a part of the show. The Performance will feature audience participation and comedy. Larry's comedy talents were featured on the Imus in the Morning show, where he performed, memorably, for a ten year period as the voice of characters, such as, Geraldo "Santana Banana", and the streetwise "Rainbow Johnson". / Opening the show: Ava K. Levy-Lynn. Ava is not a typical starving young comic. Her physician decribes her as "well nourished." She takes a dash of vaudeville, two pinches of burlesque, cups of Borscht Belt and a hefty portions of Comedy Club; stirs it up, gently folding in her own life stories and a little schmaltz. She bakes it under stage-lights and the main dish is a cassoulet of bawdy, naughty entertainment. "Doesn't it all boil down to food, sex and money?" In the summer of 2007, she entered and won Catch A Rising Star’s "Funniest Comic in the Mountains Contest" - which has created many opportunities. Sit back, enjoy and don’t have any food in your mouth when she’s rattling off her jokes. It could become very messy.

KELLY FLINT: Postmodern folk with a tinge of americana.... As the sultry voice for the trenchant songs of David Cantor in New York City-based cult faves Dave's True Story, Kelly made five albums and was the toast of The New York Times, the Kennedy Center, and more. Dave's True Story continues, but now it's time for Kelly to spread her solo wings, or more appropriately, to Drive All Night (the name of her new album) to tell her own stories. PETER CALO: Perhaps most recognized for his work with Carly Simon, Peter Calo has also recorded and performed with such legendary Grammy Award winning artists as James Taylor, Hall & Oats and renowned record producer Phil Ramone. "Peter's guitar needs no limelight… Peter is an extreme virtuoso... He can improvise better than anyone, I think, and when he solos it always seems to be a natural thing." - Carly Simon (New York Times interview) "Peter Calo...is a masterful guitarist" - The Boston Globe
