Saturday 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm | Woodstock Cycle with Bar Scott, Tim Moore, Nadege Fafoot eclectic. Classical. Acoustic. We'll see..... | St Gregory's Church Rt 212 Woodstock, NY See Map |
| The Woodstock Cycle is an annual concert series where the Cycle committee commissions three composers to write on the topic of Sacred Stories. It's a wonderful opportunity and this will be my third commission in the series' seven year history. The Woodstock Cycle prides itself on being a non-denominational project and encourages composers to interpret the word "sacred" however it resonates most deeply with them. I highly recommend this event. There are two shows and all of the pieces are world premiers. Previous composers have included: Robert Starer, Gail Godwin, Stephen Kitsakos, Daniel Abrams, Barbara Pickhardt and Johanna Hall, Francesca Tanksley and others. | ||
![]() Saturday 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm | Marbletown Arts Harvest Cabaret with Jennie Litt & David Alpher, Marbletown Arts Association Cabaret, Comedic, and Jazz | Marbletown Arts Harvest Cabaret Dan Feldman's Loft, 93 Kyserike Rd. Stone Ridge, NY See Map |
| Jennie and David ruin an otherwise perfectly enjoyable evening of music and community with a selection of their smart-alecky songs, containing unsolicited advice on blind-date etiquette and the pathetic maunderings of stay-at-home telecommuters who don't get out enough (themselves?). As for the remainder of the evening, over a dozen local singers will perform jazz, standards and original songs in a stylish piano bar environment. Don’t miss this year's piano stylings of guest composers and vocal virtuosi as well as some wonderful surprises. For More Info | ||

Performing at this wonderful Farmers Market (sponsored by "Music at the Mission") ...“Uncommon Ground”, is a hot alternative bluegrass group that is on a mission to flex the boundaries of traditional music. They possess razor-sharp vocals, fiery instrumental abilities and a rapidly growing repertoire of well-crafted tunes. “Uncommon Ground” is schooled in tradition yet is able to stretch out in inspired improvisation. In short, “Uncommon Ground” is as fresh an addition to the bluegrass—make that, the music—scene as has come along in many a year. “Uncommon Ground” draws on the talents of Michael Kobetitsch, Sara Della Posta and Wayne Fugate, all long-time veterans of the Bluegrass scene who have performed with a host of musical luminaries, along with Rachel Handman and Phil Helm, two principles in the Hudson Valley Philharmonic whose technical precision, fertile inventiveness, surprising touches and mastery of the Bluegrass genre, give the band a distinctive, signature voice. | Francesca Tanksley Trio with Reggie Workman, Newman Taylor Baker. Francesca Tanksley surprises. The internationally-acclaimed jazz pianist and composer, described as a "vivid presence" by Nat Hentoff, breaks through traditional expectations with the power of her musical vision. As Peter Watrous said in The New York Times in a review of one of her recent performances, "Ms. Tanksley reworked the vocabulary of McCoy Tyner as if she had taken just one small aspect of his style and developed it into a full language. She gave the music color, her harmonies and chording adding surprise to the performance." Pete Best is famous as the original drummer for the most important group in the history of recorded music – The Beatles! He performed literally hundreds of shows with John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison for more than 2 years while they developed a fanatical following in Liverpool and in Hamburg. He was the drummer who performed on the group's first recording sessions in Germany, on the famous Decca Records sessions and was also the group's drummer when they met and auditioned in London for George Martin. Pete Best's place in the history of The Beatles' story cannot be diminished. The Pete Best Band delivers the raw, thumping intensity of the Beatles' savage sound during the early sixties and the band is justifiably proud of their authentic sound and energy. One of the best bands around! Their song selections are called up "rapid fire" style as needed to captivate an audience and to keep the event moving all night long...They also reach just a bit deeper than most bands in our song selections. As well as the "standards", they love to play songs that you do not hear everyday, but bring back some fantastic memories... Once you hear them you'll want to come back for more!! ENJOY DINNER WHILE LISTENING TO THE BAND. THE KITCHEN CLOSES AT 11:30. NO COVER CHARGE!! 845-429-6180 | ||
