Sonart Recording Studio Sonart Recording Studio is located about nine miles west of Woodstock, n.y. nestled between the mountains and across the street from the famous Esopus Creek. What is almost hard to believe is that Ken Lovelett designed and built Sonart from the ground up, with his own hands. As a result, very careful attention was given not only to the acoustics but also to the layout and visual design of the studio. There is a ton of natural light coming in, which is a gem of a perk missing from most other studios. There are green plants, which helps to replenish oxygen in the space, several isolation and separation booths, add a Steinway Baby Grand Piano, a Kurzweil electric keyboard , a vintage Gretsch drum set ( permanently miked ), a great microphone and gear selection and some of the most unique custom made percussion instruments in the world and you have one of the best studios in the Northeast – Sonart.
