Honky Tonk Country Drummer Wanted If you think mainstream country music stinks, hate ipads on stage, and are tired of all bands playing the same songs, read further!
Way Behind The Sun, an actively gigging and growing Hudson Valley based country band of nearly 10 years, seeks a skilled drummer to join our established group.
We provide good paying regular gigs and a ton of fun.
MUST-HAVES:
• Availability for regular weekly gigs/rehearsals
• Reliable Transportation and willingness to travel up to 1.5 hours of Hopewell Junction, NY (with special gigs requiring longer commute 1-2x yearly)
• Professional Equipment
• Be comfortable playing 1–4 hour gigs
• Positive Attitude
• Willingness to learn material & strong instinct to listen, react, and play on the spot.
PLUSES:
• Passion or interest in preserving traditional, sometimes lesser-known music
• Willingness to travel to and record in-studio
• Having rehearsal space for 4-piece band
NOT ALLOWED:
• New country, iPads, backing tracks or AI
