Drummer needed for working Motown, Disco funk bandSoul City Groove is in need of a drummer. We play Motown, Soul, Disco and Funk dance music. We are a five piece female fronted group located in Ulster county and play casinos, clubs, summer concerts etc. We have been together for around 17 years working everywhere from the Albany Saratoga area down to Orange and Dutchess county.. Check the group out in soulcitygroove.com. You must have your own transportation and equipment. Vocals are a plus but not a requirement. Play for the song which is all groove oriented and lock in with the bass player. This music is about laying down the groove not about chops. Please be open to direction, and doing rehearsals since we have a large song list. Rehearsals will be either Accord or in New Paltz. . Please have a good personality ,drug and alcohol free on the gig. We dress appropriately for the gig ( no T shirts sneakers or jeans). If you have any video of you playing this type of music that would help. We work anywhere from two or three times a month up to three times a week in the summer. We already have gigs coming up for January and February 2026.
