Since releasing her first of five albums in 2005, Jackie Morris has earned a reputation for engaging “story songs” that combine traditional Folk and Americana styles with contemporary themes. She is best known for her insinuating melodies and her way with words – lyrics laced with humor and irony, sometimes poignant, occasionally political, and often thought-provoking – as well as an uncommon vibrato whistle. A NYC native now living on the Central California Coast, Jackie writes in an irrepressible variety of styles, ranging from Americana and Folk Rock to Ballads and Bluegrass ... from a little Country Western to a generous portion of Blues. All demonstrate the warmth, wit and refreshing vitality that put her music among Top Albums of the Year on Folk and Americana Radio Airplay charts. Most recently, Jackie released a new single, THE VOTE SONG -- a motivating rally song with an energizing reggae beat.
