Anaisa is a multi-generational, traditional Cuban charanga ensemble. Performing the charanga repertoire from danzón, mambo, and chachacha to pachanga, charanga-salsa, songo, and beyond, Anaisa provides the elegance and charm of flute and strings with the swing and sabor of the Cuban rhythm section. When all of your favorites from every era are brought to life by this classic ensemble, what could sound more like home? Anaïsa is Abuela's kitchen on La Noche Buena.

Led by flutist and charanga historian Dr. Jessica Valiente, the band includes NYC Latin music veterans Amy Millan on piano, Anna Milat-Meyer on bass, Yasuyo Kimura on congas, Julie Rosado on vocals, and the Valientes on strings and percussion. Anaisa has been featured at The Nuyorican Poets Cafe, Bronx Music Heritage Center, Riverfest in Yonkers, Steel Stacks Latin Heritage Festival in Bethlehem, PA, Martha's Vineyard Jazz and Blues Festival, and at Latin dance venues throughout the northeast.
