Art and music festival free event for whole family at the Greig Farm in upstate Red Hook, New York. Outside event with 5 bands featuring 100 artists art show. There will be brewed craft beer, food trucks, music, Art on the beautiful Greig Farm property overlooking Catskill Mountains.

Looking for something fun to do over the 4th of July weekend? I'll be playing Thursday, Friday, AND Saturday at Captain's Inn, Point Lookout, one of the most beautiful spots in the Catskills. As part of the summer concert series sponsored by the Millbrook Arts Group and the Millbrook Lions Club, The Big Band Sound 20-piece jazz orchestra will be performing for their 12th year at the Millbrook Community Bandshell this Fourth of July weekend evening starting at 6 p.m. Bring your picnicking paraphernalia to spread out on the beautiful lawn and enjoy our special celebration of America's original music: jazz! Directions: Taconic Parkway to Route 44 east, then stay straight on Route 82 and turn left at the light onto North Ave. Follow the road as it turns right and becomes Franklin Ave. After 4 blocks, the bandshell is on is on the left, just past the Thorne Building.
Called “one of the most talented duos to take stage in NYC,” The Whispering Tree is singer/songwriter Eleanor Kleiner and multi-instrumentalist Elie Brangbour. Together, this Franco-American duo crafts richly immersive folk brimming with evocative lyrics and a soaring vocals. Their latest album, Invisible Forces, debuted at #1 on the folk DJ charts in September 2018 and explores a deeply personal and political landscape, with themes of hope, despair and social consciousness.

Happy Traum is an American folk musician who started playing music in the 1950s and became a stalwart of the Greenwich Village music scene of the 1960s and the Woodstock music scene of the 1970s and 1980s. A long time Bob Dylan side-man, Happy will lead an all-star lineup in a celebration of folk music legend and social activist Pete Seeger – whose wife of seven decades, Toshi-Aline Ohta, grew up in Woodstock.

The Town of Hyde Park's annual Music In The Parks concert series will include a concert by Southern Dutchess Concert Band this evening at 7 p.m. on the grounds of the grand Vanderbilt Mansion. Admission is free, so pack your lawn chairs and join us for this special evening. The 50-piece Southern Dutchess Concert Band will be performing a selection of show tunes, popular standards, marches, light classical and wind ensemble music. Highlights will include music from "The Pirates of the Caribbean" movies, a medley of Frank Sinatra's greatest hits, music from the "Star Wars" films, and "1812 Overture". The Southern Dutchess Concert Band consists of woodwind, brass and percussion musicians from southern Dutchess County and surrounding areas. Call (845) 229-8086 for more information. Tim Veeder is a professional saxophonist, flautist, clarinetist, composer, arranger and educator based in Westchester, NY with over 20 years of experience performing and recording in all sorts of genres. He moved to the NYC area in 2007 and since then has shared the stage with many notable artists such as guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli, saxophonist Richie Cannata (Billy Joel), guitarist Jay Azzolina (Spyro Gyra), drummer Richie Morales (Stevie Wonder), actor Danny Aiello (Do the Right Thing), and many others.

Country Western Dance Night Comes to Nanuet. We've convinced the hottest Country Western Band in Rockland AND/OR Orange County to play for our guests this Friday Night July 12, 2019. We'll set up the big dance floor in the Windsor Grille and hope to see you all out there. Dinner starts at 5:00 PM, the band goes on at 9:00 PM. There is a table minimum or $5.00 music cover for this show.

DOG KNOWS! is a genre bending, roots up band led by Kurt Henry with five cd collections (and a sixth on the way) that have brought together not just the core members of the band, but also some of the best musicians in the Hudson Valley (including artists like John Sebastian, David Sancious, Eric Parker and Pete Levin). Both live performances and recordings emphasize a love for all root forms of music, and the repertoire includes fresh relatable originals side by side with some gems from the past.
The Clinton Community Library is proud to feature an acoustic version of the larger band, which includes Cheryl Lambert on harmonicas, percussion and vocals, and the legendary Larry Packer on violin (Cat Mother and the All Night Newsboys, Sha Na Na, Lou Reed, Hair of the Dog).
The night’s repertoire will include celtic music, rock and roll, jazz samba, bluegrass, reggae and many other flavorings, some of them very subtly blended in ways that recall great moments in common musical roots.
Roots rockin New Orleans flavored R & B to shake your hips to. For over 12 years Crawdaddy has been bringing funky grooves to the Hudson Valley. Members include: Jimmy Eppard on guitar and vocals. Jimmy has recorded and toured with Levon Helm and the Band and the Memphis Pilgrims among many others. He has produced the most recent CD from Lara Hope and the Arktones. Tony Aiello on saxophones. Tony has done extensive recording and touring with the Joe Jackson Band and many others.
The rhythm section includes Leroy Seals on bass and vocals, Stevie Dee on drums and Stuart Spector on keyboard and vocals.
Ed Croft, a Peekskill native, started his career playing in the New York City subways with famed blues musician Carolina Slim. From there, he played locally with his rockabilly band, The Moonshiners and went on to pursue a BA in Music Education from SUNY Fredonia. There he performed and studied with local legends such as Tom Gestwicki, John Bacon, Bruce Johnstone, in an orchestra concert with Yo Yo Ma, and more. He later studied under Jeff Halsey, David Bixler, and Chris Buzzeli.
LIV GARD aka Livio Guardi was born in Florence, Italy, where he still lives and teaches music. He has been singing and playing guitar, five string banjo, mandolin and other folk instruments for about twenty years. Liv has been greatly influenced by American Folk and Blues as well as by Celtic music. He also writes many original tunes which seem to bridge the gap between the musical styles of the Mediterranean and those of Northern Europe. Liv Gard has toured extensively throughout United States, Italy, Germany and Japan, playing in such diverse situations as venues, festivals, TV Networks, radio programs and clubs. Recently featured in an article on the “Bluegrass Europe” 2015 Summer Issue Magazine, (official European Bluegrass Magazine), Liv is now becoming recognized on the international circuit as a one of a kind One Man Band.
Young jazz master multi-instrumentalist Aaron Johnson leads Swingin’ the Songbook, an exploration of Jazz Promoter and Producer Norman Granz’s legendary “Jazz at the Philharmonic” concerts which toured internationally between 1944 and 1957. This Swinging tip of the hat to Jazz’s greatest benefactor explores American Songbook material by composers including George Gershwin, Cole Porter and Johnny Mercer in an organized jam session format hearkening back to the original sessions led by Granz. Culling from the American Songbook as well as the Blues in this Chatham debut, Aaron’s ensemble features a cast of top young jazz talents.
