Marlboro, NY   See Map
AMG demonstrates a departure! Their first all-acoustic show!

https://www.facebook.com/alphamalegorillas/

"AMG are the Godfathers, Grandfathers, and Illegitimate Fathers of the HeaVy Mellow sound. We'll chill ya as hard as we'll thrill ya-- and the words and the music speak loud enough to kill ya."

AMG traverses the worlds of rock, blues, hip hop and reggae, with elements of psychedelic. The band coined the term "HeaVy Mellow" in 2010 while recording their second album, "No Working Title",to put a name on the feeling being recorded.

With six officially-active members, and a small army of like-minded comrades waiting in the wings, AMG has consistently headlined the biggest small festival in Upstate New York - MAZZSTOCK since 2008 - founded by Big Lee Mazzola, the mandatory annual all night jam session has grown and matured, but thankfully not too much.

The name Cuboricua was inspired by the music of Cuba and Puerto Rico. Cuboricua identifies with the rhythms and melodies of the Caribbean; Salsa, Son, Rumba, Bomba, Plena, as well as Merengue.

The veteran musicians of this conjunto, to their credit, have performed and recorded with world renowned artists such as Celia Cruz, Pete "El Conde" Rodriquez, Eddie Palmieri, Monguito "el unico", los Kimbos, and the New Swing Sextet, to name a few. This conjunto creates a traditional/modern energetic sound by placing the interlocking rhythmic figures of percussion and Cuban Tres under a smoothly swinging melody to create a new sound!

Bett Padgett
Singer-Songwriter, Folk/Traditional
Hootenanny Cafe Mini Concerts
Online: www.wtbq.com or 93.5FM, NY   See Map
Bett Padgett uses her voice as a tool to express her thoughts through song about today’s social, political and environmental climate. In addition to sharing her thoughts on these serious topics she enjoys writing about her dogs, the joys (and frustrations) of raising children, aging parents, the closeness of family and good friends. Though she is classically trained in piano and voice, and the fact that her father was a jazz musician, it was folk music that won her heart. Her love of traditional and Celtic music gives her sound a blend of styles. She uses her talents on guitar (alternate tunings with partial capos), mandolin, piano, rootsy claw-hammer banjo and harp to back her rich alto voice. She has written songs since 1989 and recorded eight CDs since 1997. She is currently working on her ninth album which will be released in the fall of 2019. Her new collection is entitled “If I Catch My Dream” and she surely is well on the road to doing just that.

http://www.dylandoyleband.com/

Based in the Hudson Valley, rising star Dylan Doyle has been performing nationally, as well as internationally.

After sharing the stage with the young musician in Memphis a few years back, Ben Cauley, sole survivor of the Otis Redding plane crash and co-founder of the Bar-Kays likened Dylan to a young Jimi Hendrix. When asked about the wave of young talent rising from the Hudson Valley, Van Morrison guitarist John Platania commented “Dylan Doyle is the future.” Bill Payne of Little Feat described Dylan’s work as “imaginative and original.”

"Guitar star Dylan Doyle delights audiences, but frustrates anyone trying to define his sound....It isn’t the 19-year-old’s job to define it. It’s his job to play it. And that’s what the Dylan Doyle Band will do..." - Wisconsin News / Baraboo News Republic
