Peekskill, NY   See Map
“Christopher Brown wins over audiences without gimmicks or bluster. He has an organic stage presence. All he needs are his honeyed rumble of a voice and an unteachable ability to make any song – a good-time sing-along of a favorite standard or a self-penned meditation on the passage of time – sound genuine and of the moment.” ~The Journal News

It’s not easy to be a working musician in the Greater New York City region but Christopher Brown has built several followings, as a solo coffeehouse artist, the leader of duos and trios, and as the voice of the Bookends band.

Brown, backed by his talented band will be showcasing songs from a brand new collection entitled, “Under a Gleason Moon”, his fourth CD release.

He writes tales of lessons learned and of taking stock through life’s journey. If you’ve lived a life – victories and defeats, good days and bad – you’ll recognize yourself in the songs of Christopher Brown.

Dylan Doyle Band, featuring Brad FaucherThe FALCON & The FALCON UNDERGROUND
1348 Route 9W
Marlboro, NY   See Map
After sharing the stage with the young musician in Memphis a few years back, Ben Cauley, sole survivor of the Otis Redding plane crash and co-founder of the Bar-Kays likened Dylan to a young Jimi Hendrix.

Van Morrison guitarist John Platania commented “Dylan Doyle is the future.” Bill Payne of Little Feat described Dylan’s work as “imaginative and original.”

"Guitar star Dylan Doyle delights audiences, but frustrates anyone trying to define his sound....It isn’t the 19-year-old’s job to define it. It’s his job to play it. And that’s what the Dylan Doyle Band will do..." - Wisconsin News / Baraboo News Republic

Been Around the World https://youtu.be/zwc8rOeSuIM

Brad Faucher seamlessly blends the styles as smoothly and expertly as he bends his strings. With a style imbued with the jazziness of Grant Green, the blues pluck of T-Bone Walker and the soulfulness of Cornell Dupree.

"It's a rare thing to share the stage with great talent like that young lady." - B.B. King (1925-2015)

The root of the Band's sound is Suter's deep, powerful, commanding, and soulful voice, artfully blending the lines between gospel and blues. Suter is the daughter of singer, Carrie Suter, backing vocalist with Harry Belafonte and Mahalia Jackson.

"A brilliant singer and even more thoughtful lyricist” - H. Allen Williams, JazzTimes

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, vocalist Aimée Allen performs regularly in NYC and abroad. She has sung with such renowned musicians including Romero Lubambo, Ron McClure, François Moutin, Rozwell Rudd, Ari Hoenig, and Yomo Toro. And, her latest release, the critically acclaimed Wings Uncaged, is a musical statement of transcendence in all its facets. With a set of jazz standards and striking originals featuring winged creatures, negotiating the challenges and limitations of the natural world, the project provides metaphors for surviving perilous conditions in creative ways. It has been named one of Downbeat Magazine's Best of 2018.

“Allen will mesmerize you with her voice and style. Wings Uncaged is a vastly different experience than the standard vocal jazz fare, that offers depth and reverence, while pushing the idiom forward." - Steph Cosme, Staccotofy

The eldest son of the late, great Chicago Harmonica player Paul Butterfield, the first white Harmonica player to develop a style original and powerful enough to place him in the pantheon of Blues greats.

Gabriel Butterfield grew up on the road, on tour with his father; the music is literally in his blood. Like his father, music is the driving passion of Gabriel's life. In 2012, again residing in Woodstock, New York, Gabriel launched multiple projects, a documentary film on Paul Butterfield, and a working band that celebrates his father's music.

"These seasoned music veterans have all come together in mutual respect for my father and to honor one of music’s legendary pioneers and influences, for which I am very touched and forever grateful,” states Gabriel.

"For more than a decade, Nate Wood has expressed his multifarious instrumentalism in prog-jazz outfits like Kneebody, the Wayne Krantz Trio, and the Donny McCaslin Band. But his solo project, fOUR...takes the concept to impossible extremes." - WBGO

"The fact that the music itself is wonderfully composed and executed [ X-IT fOUR released 2018] , not to mention masterfully mixed (he does it all folks), is number one here." - Campbell Youngblood-Petersen/Drummer, Composer

http://natewoodmusic.net

Nate Wood's new project, fOUR, is an ambitious take on solo performance. Here, Wood is playing everything — analog synths, drums and bass, sometimes adding vocals — all at the same time. As well, he’s recording every song in one pass with no overdubs, click track or pre-recorded backing tracks. “That’s why it’s called "fOUR", because it’s me with four limbs playing four instruments at once,” says Wood.

The Francois Wiss Trio pays tribute to the Golden Age of Cuba!

Featuring: Francois Wiss / Guitar/Vocals, Daniel Villeneuve / Percussion, Roman Lajara / Tres

The Buena Vista Social Club has always been more than a place: The long-shuttered nightspot has lent its name to Grammy-winning albums, an Oscar-nominated documentary and, most importantly, to a musical genre celebrating Cuba's "Golden Age" -- the vibrant sounds of the '30s, '40s and '50s.

Now a red-hot trio of musicians, lead by guitarist-vocalist Francois Wiss, pays tribute to this dynamic and danceable music.

Wiss studied music at the Conservatoire in Paris, where he was mentored by guitar masters including the legendary Pierre Cullaz. Now, he will perform such Buena Vista Social Club favorites as "Chan Chan," "El Payande," "Se Seco el Arroyito" as well as many others.

Paul Pesco's career in music began as a rehearsal technician at S.I.R. Studios, with numerous and prominent artists. Having played on some early sessions by a then-unknown Madonna, Pesco was offered a position as a "utility man" (playing second guitar and keyboards) with Atlantic Starr on the band's 1982 tour, after which Pesco was again recruited by Madonna to record on her self-titled debut album.

Paul has maintained his working relationship with Madonna, having recorded and toured with her ("Lucky Star", "Burning Up," The Virgin Tour 1985, "Erotica" and The Girlie Show World Tour 1993).

Through his work with techno funk group, The System, he came to the attention of the massively successful group Hall & Oates, with whom he became lead guitarist and musical director, and continued with Daryl Hall's successful reality music television program, Live From Daryl's House.
