The zeitgeist is a moving target, and Chris Barron has always been a crack shot. The New York songwriter is no longer the debutant who set out on the circuit’s sharp end in 1988 with $100, a battered acoustic and a headful of the alt-rock anthems that would elevate Spin Doctors to global stardom.
He’s compelled to write the music that chronicles the here-and-now. As far back as he can remember, he’s had a hunger driving him onward, towards something just out of reach. Jacob Bernz was born and raised in NY's Hudson Valley surrounded by the musical friends and colleagues of his father, David Bernz. Pete Seeger was a family friend and frequent presence in Jacob's life.
Jacob has played at many venues including The Guthrie Center, New York's Symphony Space and Lincoln Center Out Of Doors. He's shared the stage with notable musicians including David Amram, Guy Davis, Livingston Taylor, Jackson Browne, Tom Chapin and Arlo Guthrie.

As a sound engineer at the ShapeShifter Lab in Brooklyn, jazz guitarist Kevin Quinn, was poised to meet and play with notable musicians such as Aaron Parks, David Savitsky, Rachel Therrien, Dean Sharp, Sean Wayland, Mark Ferber, Ira Coleman, among others.
Continuing his journey, he has played at Shrine, Highline Ballroom, Muchmore's, Silvana, Williamsburg Music Center, Tomi Jazz, Pianos, Garment District Art Festival, and myriad bars and restaurants. Kevin has drawn inspiration from Wayne Shorter, John Coltrane, John Scofield, Bill Frisell and Pat Martino, and from his guitar teacher at SUNY New Paltz, Mark Dziuba.
Quinn has released his first record of originals, "Paramedic" - compositions are by both Kevin and Mark Dziuba. "Paramedic" was recorded at Upland Studios by John Menegon, and mixed and mastered by Marian Gomez Villota.

 Bill Brovold & Mark Ormerod Duo
Educator, visual artist, and composer/musician, Bill Brovold, has performed with Rhys Chatham, Arthur Russell, and Glenn Branca. He led the New York band Strange Farm (featuring Billy Ficca of Television and Ernie Brooks of the Modern Lovers), the six-to-thirteen-member Detroit post rock band Larval, which features his twangy guitar alongside a wall-of-sound onslaught of horns and strings, and Detroit-based duo with Stooges founder, Ron Ashton. Brovold has designed and built a new music collaboration art piece with Laurie Anderson (2018), as well.
With Mark Ormerod, he has an on-going exploration of intertwining musical styles. The Duo is finishing the last recordings and mixes for a new release. |

It is the raw and husky verses of songstress Jezebel Jeffrey, and the syncopated tones of keyboardist Patrick Stokes that started the story of this New York group- with Josh Towers on Bass, Steven Repka on guitar and Terry Hampton keeping everyone tight on drums. With a wide range of influences, ToasterBasket appeals to listeners of all ages. The band’s 5 song EP “Toast to Talent”, is slated for release in early 2019.-------

The band is a spinoff from "Hudson Valley's Hillbilly Band," No Brakes, which apparently got a brake job that realigned its own members with some new talent.

The Slambovian Circus of Dreams - collectively - are pioneers of the Americana genre, equal parts Washington Irving and Woodstock, tapping styles ranging from dusty Americana ballads to huge Pink Floydesque cinematic anthems. They've been called “the hillbilly Pink Floyd,” particularly if you throw in elements of Incredible String Band, Neil Young, The Band, Dylan, Bowie and Syd Barrett.
The band runs its own label, with four critically acclaimed studio albums:
A Good Thief Tips His Hat (1999), Flapjacks From The Sky (2003), The Great Unravel (2008), and The Grand Slambovians (2010).
A Box of Everything (2014) released through Sony Red as the band’s ‘greatest hits you’ve never heard".
Their next studio album, ‘A Very Unusual Head’ will feature guests including guitarist Gary Lucas and Willie Nile, among others.

Vocalist and songwriter, with a baby blue guitar and a Marlboro bass, Mimi performs solo dream pop as an electronic multi-instrumentalist, and more recently, in a power-punk-dream-rock collaboration with the Beacon NY punk trio, Knock Yourself Out (KYO).
MSL (pronounced missile) is the latest incarnation of Mimi Sun Longo, whose projects have included MimiSun ('08), Higher Animals('11), We Got Whales('15), and now, MSL + KYO, with no end in sight for our expectations of MSL.
MSL achieves the grind of Janis Joplin and subtlety of Angel Olsen. Josh Stark's loud lead riffs through layers of delay and distortion, push and pull in a winking attempt to tear at the impenetrable KYO rhythm section that is Harrison Cannon and Mike Rasimas.

In The Kitchen got their start in the steamy kitchen of a second story apartment in Rosendale NY. It was a warm midsummer evening and the boys started plucking sweet sounds as chicken, potatoes and green beans sizzled in the oven.
You might say, that meal defined the band's sound - simple and satisfying. In The Kitchen plays a mix of Americana music, with hints of bluegrass, country, ad soul, peppering their songwriting.Their live sets move through a range of emotions, with plenty of danceable, driving tunes, balanced with slow grooves, and earnest lyrics and singing.
Like any fine Upstate band, their latest album, Almost Almost There, was recorded in a log cabin nestled in the Catskill Mountains.
