Rock (modern)
Paramount Hudson Valley Theater
1008 Brown Street
Peekskill, NY   See Map
With over 8 million records sold, and a multitude of chart-topping hits, Sugar Ray has been entertaining their fans for over two decades!

When “Sugar Ray’s” breakthrough hit song “Fly” put them on the map in 1997, lead vocalist Mark McGrath was thrust into the public eye. There’s no doubt the band maintains its momentum due in no small part to the good looks, charisma, and talent of its front man, Mark McGrath.

In 1997, following the success of their number-one hit “Fly”, Sugar Ray released its second album, “Floored”, which went double-platinum. Sugar Ray’s success rocketed McGrath to pop-star status, as he graced the covers of “Rolling Stone” and “Spin”. He even made People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” issue, named “Sexiest Rocker” in 1998.

Jefferson Starship rose from the ashes of another legendary San Francisco band, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees, Jefferson Airplane. Found Paul Kantner (who died in January 2016 at age 74) knew that combining powerful creative forcers, personalities and talents could create something far greater than the sum of its parts. Between 1974 and 1984, Jefferson Starship released eight gold and platinum albums, twenty hit singles, sold out concerts worldwide and lived out legendary rock and roll escapades. “Jefferson Starship was my creation…and it has this nice fluidity about it that allows any number of people to come in and do things with whatever Jefferson Starship is.” – Paul Kantner Today’s Jefferson Starship remains dedicated to breathing new life into the living catalog of the Jeffersonian legacy, going to the edge, pushing the sonic boundaries and staying true to the original spirit of the music.

Hudson Valley Sally’s group is rooted in the tradition of activist folk music. Dedicated to keeping alive some of the oldest songs, and introducing some of the newest, the Sallies are not afraid to experiment and their goal is to make the oldest songs sound fresh, and the newest feel like you've always known them.

“...one of the best guitarists in the country...” - Billboard

2018 GRAMMY nominee Scott Sharrard had been the touring guitarist for the Gregg Allman Band since the Fall of 2008. Gregg Allman, had high praise for the guitarist.

“I know all about guitar players —I’ve seen the very best — and Scott Sharrard is the perfect guitarist for my band. He understands that you don’t need to play just for the sake of playing; Scott isn’t one of those guys who thinks they’re getting paid by the note. He never steps on the vocals, and leaves plenty of room for everyone else to do their thing, but when it’s time to solo, Scott delivers, boy.”

Sharrard's next album "Saving Grace" celebrates its 2018 release with a US eastern seaboard tour!

Richard Lewis LIVEParamount Hudson Valley Theater

Perhaps Mel Brooks put it best when he said, “Richard Lewis may just be the Franz Kafka of modern day comedy.”

Lewis has taken his lifelong therapy fodder and carved it into a commanding, compelling art form. His early career as a stand-up brought him to the top of his ranks. Over time and through a variety of mediums, he broadened his exposure and more and more came on board to appreciate his brilliantly warped world.

The NY Times said, “This renowned comedian, often considered to be the heir to Lenny Bruce, is a master of long form storytelling who turns his endless neurotic energy into brilliant comedy.”

Comedy Central has recognized Mr. Lewis as one of the top 50 stand-up comedians of all time and he was charted on GQ Magazine’s list of the ’20th Century’s Most Influential Humorists’. In December of 1989, Lewis achieved a very personal goal…he performed at Carnegie Hall to a standing room only audience.
