 Ms. Laster, a Sphinx Symphony Orchestra member, has played internationally with musicians like Anthony Braxton, Aretha Franklin and Alicia Keyes. Her New MUSE 4tet, for ages 8-22, features music by composers of color in an interactive presentation utilizing spoken word and weaving improvisation into its theme of No Racism, No Hate, No Fear.
These interactive concerts, long a Maverick tradition, are designed for enjoyment by children in grades K-6. Admission is free for all young people under 16. Adults pay $5 each at the door.

The summer Rock Camp program increases musicianship, builds self-confidence, and gives teens from all over the Hudson Valley an opportunity to perform for a live audience.
Our students spend two weeks in a hands-on environment, forming bands, learning composition, real performance and recording techniques and the joys and complexities of being in a rock band. All while working with top professional musicians.
New York School of Music, Serving the Hudson Valley since 2004, is a full-service music school with all the tools needed to learn, play and create music. With over 10,000 square feet, our state of the art facility provides an energetic, fun, and comfortable learning environment where students are encouraged to create, listen, improvise and develop their natural musical abilities.

 Upstate Rubdown is an acoustic septet drawing inspiration from every corner (and decade) of America's musical heritage. Based in New York's Hudson Valley, the band has spent years cultivating its sound, and continues to grow by the tune.

David Amram is a composer, conductor and multi-instrumentalist who has composed more than one hundred orchestral and chamber music works and written many scores for Broadway theater and film, including the classic scores for the films, Splendor in the Grass and The Manchurian Candidate.

 Sam Reider & the Human Hands' new album, Too Hot To Sleep is comprised of 13 instrumentals with catchy melodies that have the ability to keep listeners up all night, and is inspired by Reider’s travels to Turkey, the Caribbean and Southeast Asia.
The Human Hands are a collective of virtuoso jazz and bluegrass musicians from Brooklyn, NY. Along with Reider, they include violinist Alex Hargreaves (Turtle Island Quartet, Sarah Jarosz, Béla Fleck), saxophonist Eddie Barbash (Late Night with Stephen Colbert, Jon Batiste and Stay Human), guitarist Grant Gordy (David Grisman, Darol Anger, Aoife O'Donovan), mandolinist Dominick Leslie (Michael Daves, Tony Trischka, The Deadly Gentlemen), guitarist Roy Williams (Stephane Wrembel), and bassist Dave Speranza (Jim Campilongo).
Reider, a jazz pianist turned roots musician known for his role in Americana band Silver City Bound (formerly known as The Amigos).

While embracing standards and straight ahead jazz, Kristina arranges tunes in unique ways, knowing that adding to the legacy of jazz is much more important than recreating the performances of others. The Westchester native culled her musical chops in the NYC jazz scene, performing at venerable jazz haunts such as Smalls, Smoke, Minton’s, Mezzrow as well as The Apollo Theater.
Koller is a very original contemporary jazz vocalist, one that anyone interested in jazz, or for that matter progressive music, needs to hear.

 Sylvia Tyson started performing professionally in 1959 as one-half of the internationally folk duo, Ian & Sylvia. She wrote her first song, “You Were on My Mind” in 1962. The duo went their separate ways in 1977.
Sylvia has continued to have a long and successful solo career. She has recorded 10 albums, and written over 200 songs.

He founded the band Roomful of Blues and was a member of the Fabulous Thunderbirds.The Duke Robillard Band debuted in 1981, re-emerging as The Pleasure Kings with their eponymous 1984 album on Rounder. It and its sequel, "Too Hot To Handle," burnished Duke's songwriting portfolio; the 1987 jazz outing "Swing" (with saxophonist Scott Hamilton) underscored his versatility and remains a highlight.
Duke's resume is decorated with Grammy nominations, Handy Awards and Blues Music Awards, and other honors for his artistry, recordings and productions within the United States and internationally.
The Blues Music Awards (formerly W.C.Handy Awards) named Duke Robillard "Best Blues Guitarist" four out of five years in a row.
