Hill's most recent CD, 'Have Slide Will Travel' is a collection of slide guitar instrumentals - Review: Robert Hill has the ability to be relevant, intelligent and sympathetic in an amazing variety of moods and emotions and this collection of songs delivers a stellar diversity of thoughts and expressions all picked and plucked with style and confidence. - No Depression

"Hill's aggressive slide playing over a rough-and-ready backing track, “Slide On Rye”, makes us want to slam down some moonshine and start a ballroom blitz. It's intense and relentless, and Hill's slide tone is fat, edgy and fabulous." - Guitar Player Magazine

Timmons sparked his own guitar revolution scoring two Top Ten videos on MTV with his band Danger Danger, selling over a million records, and touring the world, opening for Kiss and Alice Cooper. A handful of critically acclaimed solo albums followed, and his long association as guitarist and music director for Olivia Newton-John.

TLB’s complicated phrasing, impossible timing, and seamless flow cause some to suspect that the band must surely operate from only one, albeit enormous, brain.

With seven studio albums and three full-length performance DVDs, the award-winning Travis Larson Band is firmly rooted as one of instrumental music’s premiere acts, having worked on record with Steve Lukather (Toto), Victor Wooten (Bela Fleck), Dave LaRue (Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, Dixie Dregs), Vinx (Sting, Herbie Hancock).

Travis Larson Band's 2011 studio release Soundmind earned accolades as Guitar Player Magazine Editor's Top Three.

MISHTI is a Rocker. Songwriter. Ridiculously talented. A singer whose vocals are hard to define, but unmistakably... Mishti.

Mishti is a New York-based musician who was born in Tokyo and, as she says, "shaped by parental wanderlust". Mishti participated at the 2014 and 2015 Michigan Womyn's Music Festivals, and Toshi Reagon's 2016 Word, Rock & Sword Festival. Aside from being a 12 Grapes favorite, Mishti gigs regularly in the New York City music scene at Rockwood, Bowery Ballroom and many others.

Her new hits include, "The Weight of My Heart" and "Obsession" ... both of which we're obsessed with. Join us for Mishti and her killer band.

The band includes Mishti on guitar/vocals Scott Chasolen on keys, Greg Schettino on bass and Matt Graff on drums. This is going to be EPIC.

Folk music at its finest. Engaging in a rich collaboration, blending respective songwriting with instrumental and vocal skills, both Rayna & Kieran have well-established individual identities, and their joining voices is a new musical adventure ranging from Nashville to folk, from singer/songwriter to old-time music.

Kieran and Rayna first met, fittingly, at San Francisco's celebrated Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, which led to their co-writing songs for Kieran's album, Unguarded Moments (Dead Reckoning). Fans of either artist will recognize the musical kindred-spiritedness in their restrained and roots-oriented approach to both songs and arrangements.

An Evening with Tracy Grammer
Singer-Songwriter, Americana, and Contemporary
Empire State Railway Museum
70 Lower High State
Phoenicia, NY   See Map
This year marks a milestone for Tracy Grammer. She is touring following the release of her first album that almost exclusively features her own songs. “Low Tide” (called “hugely impressive” by Maverick Magazine) has remained high on the Folk-DJ Charts since January’s debut, with three of its songs ranking in the Top Ten in February alone.

“Her pure voice conveys the simple truths of these songs; her gifts as a musician are like that of a painter who is a master of chiaroscuro, offering light and shadow at every turn.” Mary Chapin Carpenter

“Tracy Grammer is a brilliant artist and unique individual. Her voice is distinctive, as is her mastery over the instruments she plays.” Joan Baez

The concert will be held inside the intimate acoustically exquisite old Phoenicia Railway Station (The Empire State Railway Museum). Tickets are $20 or $18 with RSVP to flyingcatmusic@gmail.com. For more info call 845-688-9453

The Dark Horses are a collection of super-talented - yet inexplicably humble - musicians that came together to celebrate what would have been George Harrison’s 75th birthday. The band guarantees an utterly mind-roasting evening of the music of George Harrison, covering his work from his Beatles days through his solo career.

In fact, if The New York Times were to attend a performance, it would probably use words like, "awesome," "transcendent" and "mind-roasting" ...at least somewhere in the same issue... to describe something,...or maybe in a quote...
