Gratefully Yours has quickly established itself as one of the Northeast’s premiere Grateful Dead cover bands; with an all-star lineup performing “dream” set lists submitted by their fans. Founded in 2012 by Alex Mazur, of The Deadbeats - one of the longest running Grateful Dead cover bands. With lineups that include Adam Czolowski (Sonic Garden), Tom Pirozzi (Ominous Seapods), Jeff Martinson (Shakedown) and Rob Schiff (Nailed Shutt), Vinnie Amico (moe.), Rob Eaton (Dark Star Orchestra), Russ Lawton (Trey Anastasio Band), Bill Carbone (Max Creek) and Zach Nugent (Cats Under The Stars). The Dead were unique, as was the bond with their audience. MAGIC and MUSIC! It is the MAGIC that Gratefully Yours pays tribute to. The band encourages their audience to participate in the creative process, offering the Dead community an opportunity to submit, or vote for, their dream set lists online - from which the band chooses to perform at their shows. Influenced by the raw emotion of songwriters such as Patty Griffin, Lucinda Williams, Mieka Pauley, and Emmylou Harris, Sarah's confessional lyrics are defiant and searing, vulnerable and searching. Sarah has dedicated the past several years collaborating with veterans Clifford Carter (James Taylor), Marc Shulman (Suzanne Vega), Ann Klein (Ani DiFranco) and Chrissi Poland (Scissor Sisters), allowing her songs to evolve through consistent live performance. Sarah is often seen performing at NYC clubs such as the Bitter End and in Nov 2016 celebrated her CD release at Rockwood Music Hall to a packed house.Sarah will be opening for Toot Sweet - a favorite band of hers! ![]() Friday 9:00 pm to 12:00 am | Bringing the NYC Music Scene to Westchester with Toot Sweet Indie Rock | 12 Grapes Music & Wine Bar 12 North Division Street Peekskill, NY See Map |
Fronted by vocalist, accordionist, pianist and songwriter Mary Spencer Knapp (an original cast member of the hit Broadway show, "The Great Comet"), Toot Sweet plays a "mean, funk-infused cabaret style of pop," according to NYC Deli Magazine. The band calls their music "Cabaret Soul", a style that blends Edith Piaf and psychedelic soul. Their sets are zany, quirky and transfixing. NYC songwriter Sarah Wise says of Toot Sweet, "This is by far one of the most innovative and in-your-face bands I have ever seen." Toot Sweet are staples on the NYC / Brooklyn music scene, playing clubs like Bowery Electric, Rockwood, The Bitter End, Pete's Candy Store and many others. We're thrilled to welcome this tour de force to our 12 Grapes stage in their Westchester debut. **$5 Entertainment Fee** Listen on youtube! | ||
