 Wali Ali plays standards from a generation of creative jazz. His guitar unites the cool of Miles and Trane with the heat of Hendrix and Santana. Come celebrate the release of his new CD which invites the listener to explore new interpretations of classic melodies.
Wali Ali has played guitar with various musical artists including Taj Mahal, Norman Connors, Donny Hathaway, Bobbi Humphrey, Melvin Van Peebles, Noel Pointer, Lonnie Liston Smith, Peter Tosh, and Stanley Turrentine. He has scored for television, and he was bandleader for the Broadway musical Mule Bone. Wali is also the recipient of the ASCAP Songwriters Award.

Hoag & the Weasel is a brother duo originating from Vernon, NJ. Anthony Assante (guitar) and Vincent Assante (violin) integrate folk instrumentation with rhythmic textures of progressive rock and modern musical nuances while reinventing the possibilities of a guitar-violin duo. It is all driven by a high energy foot-stomping pulse from each of their self-made foot rattles and a bass drum. The brothers have previously performed in various bands together, but turning to the minimalism of a duo forced the focus to musical purism. Harry will be performing Pop Funk R&B Old School Soul and some of his original music.
