Phoenicia, NY   See Map
With Danika Holmes on piano, rhythm guitar and sweet sultry vocals, and Jeb Hart playing intense alternately percussive and mercurial guitar leads, Danika and The Jeb create a unique blend of bluesy acoustic pop that’s both substantive and soulful. Last year Danika and The Jeb were picked from over 300 performers/groups as Artists of the Year by the Concerts in Your Home network.

Though most of their material is original, Sirius XM’s "Coffeehouse Station" chose Danika and The Jeb’s distinctive acoustic version of the Beatles’ While My Guitar Gently Weeps for extensive U.S. air play, wining them fervent new fans from coast to coast in the process.

This concert will be held inside the intimate acoustically exquisite old Phoenicia Railway Station with very limited seating. Tickets are $18 or $15 with RSVP to flyingcatmusic@gmail.com. For more info call 845-688-9453. Door opens 7:00 pm

Who Says a Funk Band Can't Play Jamming Music?
with Mike Clip Payne's 420 Funk Mob/Rx
Funk, Rock (classic). Psychedlic Funk Rock N Soul
Stanhope House
45 Main Street
Stanhope, NJ   See Map
"What began as a side trip for Parliament-Funkadelic’s Michael “Clip” Payne has evolved into one of the most versatile jam bands around, a Family Stone-meets-The-Dead vehicle that frees your mind -- so that your ass, of course, can follow. Some of the finest original funk this side of Sly Stone, Larry Graham and the Godfather of Soul. The 420 Funk Mob melds that sound with some Sixties psychedelia, a bit of Sun Ra "arkestration," performed by a revolving cast of former P-Funk members and masterful musician friends. Jam after jam, style after style, they sync up. One collective under a frequently hypnotic groove"

with Marc Von Em
Acoustic, Singer-Songwriter
12 Grapes Music & Wine Bar
12 North Division Street
Peekskill, NY   See Map
Marc's original music is influenced by folk, funk & blues, with a few choice cover songs woven in. As one reviewer wrote: "If you haven't seen Marc Von Em perform live, you're only cheating yourself."

Marc is able to create amazing amounts of sound and diversity through his voice and one faithful guitar. His chops are wide-ranging, from delicate finger picking to rambunctious Pete Townsend-type strumming. Marc is able to seamlessly switch his vibe -- his dynamic voice can go from smooth & soaring to smoky scatting. His harmonica playing is equally impressive and he sometimes uses it to accompany Muddy Waters-style blues on guitar.

Just off his 3rd tour with The Rob Thomas Band -- this year with the famed '90s band, Counting Crows -- Marc Von Em receives raves reviews wherever he plays. Rob Thomas wrote, "... when I heard his original stuff, I asked [Marc] to open up a 10,000 seat gig. Just him, his guitar, and his songs. He killed it!"

With the generous support of Blue Cross and Blue Shield the Newburgh Jazz Series 2017 will offer free world class jazz concerts on the Newburgh waterfront during the entire month of August. When the Ferry Godmother was asked to take the free concerts away from the waterfront in 2011 she promised she would be back and she has done it. Executive Producer at Ferry Godmother Productions Aquanetta Wright, affectionately known as the Ferry Godmother is the creator of Newburgh Jazz Series in 2017. "Our goal is to bring great music back to the Newburgh waterfront at least twice a week during the months of July and August, just as it once was".

with Megan Talay, and, MISHTI, a Double Bill
Rock (classic), Singer-Songwriter
12 Grapes Music & Wine Bar
12 North Division Street
Peekskill, NY   See Map
Megan Talay is a Folk/Rock/Pop singer-songwriter who knows how to have fun while rocking out, and her latest music videos "Parent's House" and "I Hope Your Band Goes Nowhere" are proof positive of just how much fun you can have while making music you love. A former member of Guns N’ Hoses (an all-girl Guns N’ Roses cover band), Megan fronts her own band and plays NY/Brooklyn venues like Rockwood and The Studio at Webster Hall.

MISHTI is a Rocker. Songwriter. Ridiculously talented. A singer whose vocals are hard to define, but unmistakably... Mishti. Mishti's sound coasts between "a bottom-heavy Zeppelin Rock, Blues-infused grooves, Thelonius Monk-inspired guitar work, and a Nina Simone-style wail-to-whisper." Mishti is a frequent performer at Rockwood, The Shrine and other prestigious NYC clubs. Her band includes Greg Schettino on bass, Matt Graff on drums and Chris Burke on keys.

Double bill. Infinite fun. A night not to be missed.

**$10 Entertainment Fee or $5 with dinn
