![]() Sunday 9:00 pm to 10:00 pm | Dennis Dougherty Singer-Songwriter, Folk/Traditional, and Celtic | Hootenanny Cafe Mini Concerts Online: www.wtbq.com or 93.5FM, NY See Map |
Dennis Dougherty has been known to spend weeks, months and in some cases years obsessing over a song. “I just can’t seem to accept ‘good enough’. I always think a word or a line or the groove can be just a bit better, maybe great.” After having spent years in the NYC, Greenwich Village singer/songwriter scene, Dennis opened shows for Roger McGuinn, Ritchie Havens, Tom Paxton, Lucinda Williams and many others. The craft, the art of the song is where it begins and ends for Dennis and writing with Nashville songwriters will send you to school big time. “Fred Koller, Michael Smith, Steve Gillette are not only my co-writers they are my mentors.” The new album “Get The Angle Right”, on Thinking Dog Records, distributed by Redeye International is a lifetime of word obsessions, melody tweaking and groove mining set down in song | ||
