Their performance on August 13th will feature several great jazz musicians performing with them, including the legendary drummer Thurman Barker. Also featured will be Greg Fiske (Jazzmosis) on Saxophone, Barbara Gogan (The Passions) on vocals and guitar, and Jazz keyboardist Bob Lohr.

 Saxophonist Eric Person is setting a new standard in sound and his band Meta-Four is nothing short of dynamic.
For over twenty years, Eric has been committed to composing, recording and performing contemporary American music. He plays the alto and soprano sax and the flute and is featured as a leader and sideman on more than 30 recordings. His broad range of experience with Dave Holland, McCoy Tyner, Chico Hamilton, Ronald Shannon Jackson, the World Saxophone Quartet, and John Hicks, have all contributed greatly to his mature alto and soprano sound and his skills as an arranger and composer.
His CD, "Thoughts On God" received rave reviews and John Murphy, of Downbeat Magazine, gave it 4 ½ stars.

 After a break in July, it's time once again for our monthly presentation of Greg Westhoff's Westchester Swing Band! This world-class 18-piece Big Band features a full horn section with 5 sax's, 4 trombones, 4 trumpets, and the inimitable talents of drummer and bandleader Greg Westhoff. The band performs classic Swing music, Sinatra, Broadway selections and songs from the '40's, '50's and more.
Greg Westhoff has performed on the Tonight Show and is the orchestra drummer for "Family Guy". Greg also performed with Walter Murphy and the Big Apple Band on the popular disco-era hit " A Fifth of Beethoven". Members of the Swing Band are all professional musicians who've performed in Broadway pits and with numerous industry greats.

 The Newburgh Jazz~Go~Round line up includes swing, big band, Latin jazz, contemporary jazz and much more. The concerts are held every Thursday in August at 6:30 to 8:30 pm around the City of Newburgh.  Veteran musicians Joe Gil (trombone), Neil Alexander (organ and keyboards) and Nadav Snir-Zelniker (drums) have put together a new group called the "Thunderhead Organ Trio". The group is taking the concept of the organ trio in a new and different direction, drawing on many different influences and styles.
The group explores the grittier, rockier side of the genre referencing groups like the original Tony Williams Lifetime and mines the jazz standard repertoire for obscure gems and deep cuts.
The group will be playing original tunes, jazz standards, lost classics and rare gems.

AYAASO started in the fall of 2003 with Asante Blue on keyboards and vocals, Fes Williams on bass, Bill Bojangles on vocals. A year or so later came Steady Demmings on drums and now also includes Eric Toussaint on keyboards and Andrea Green on guitar.
AYASSO debut CD, A Brighter Day gets airplay in New York, Nevada, Florida, Jamaica, St. Kitts/Nevis, the Eastern Caribbean and on internet radio. The album has fifteen songs including the fans favorites Golden Sun, Blessed Is The Man, Marcus Garvey, Welcome To New York and the Ska instrumental Crush Pepper.
