CUDDEBACKVILLE — Join the "Saturday Night Music Appreciation Society": a concert to benefit The Neversink Valley Museum of History and Innovation on July 16th at 7PM when they will present an evening of Americana, Folk and Bluegrass music featuring Hudson Valley favorite Suzy Arnowitz, a singer/songwriter who has performed in the bands Big Cow, Oxford Depot, and Tin Roof. Suzy has also been featured on “Good Morning America”, Jay Ungar and Molly Mason’s “Dancing on Air” and on WFUV, WNYC, WNTI, WFDU, WVKR and WJFF. She hosted many music festivals at the Warwick Valley Winery with performer Mike Baglione. She and her family live in Warwick, NY. A Tribute to SANTANA!!!
with Taboo
Rock (classic)
12 Grapes Music & Wine Bar
12 North Division Street
Peekskill, NY   See Map
In 1969, Santana burst on the music scene with a searing performance at Woodstock. The innovative combination of electric blues-rock guitar and Afro-Cuban rhythms filled their music with heart, soul and a burning sensuality that’s never been duplicated to this day.

Inspired by the incredible intensity of this music, Taboo shares a passion for re-creating the electrifying sound of Santana's greatest hits. And audiences, without exception, have been wowed by the authenticity of the magic Santana sound that Taboo delivers.

It's all there: the propulsive Latin percussion, the fiery lead guitar work, the "groove" that connects to the soul of the audience. Their set list is full of old favorites, as well as the recent hits from "Supernatural" and beyond.

**$12 Entertainment Fee or $6 with dinner entree**

Entertainment Fee goes directly to the band. Thank you for supporting live music.

Bottom Dollar String Band
Bluegrass, Americana, and Singer-Songwriter
Hootenanny Cafe Mini Concerts
Online: www.wtbq.com or 93.5FM, NY   See Map
Bottom Dollar String Band has been a growing bluegrass powerhouse in Austin since their formation in the Texas Hill Country in 2011. Hunter Hollingsworth (mandolin/lead vocals) and Josh Moore (banjo/vocals) are the founding members with Devon Canady (guitar/vocals) joining a year later after a seemingly harmless garage jam. Since then they have explored a sound that borrows from the high-lonesome harmonies and blazing fiddle tunes of bluegrass and blends it with genre-bending medleys, sing-along pop covers, and their own rep of quotable original songs. Labels aside, Bottom Dollar strives to strip music down to its roots and express the human experience with themes of Americana folklore. They have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with such notable acts as the Duhks, Town Mountain, and White Denim.

For over 25 years the Towne Crier's legendary Open Mic Nights have drawn top talent from throughout the Hudson Valley and beyond, including Sloan Wainwright, the Slambovian Circus Of Dreams and Red Molly. Known as a true "listening room," it provides artists with a respectful performance space, and live music fans with the best entertainment value around.

For a variety of reasons, after trial and error, e-mail signups have not worked out, so we are discontinuing it. The former email address will NOT be monitored. Signups are exclusively in person (no phone signups either) between 5pm and 7pm day of the open mic. Show up early in order to pick a slot (with the host's consent and at his/her sole discretion!)

Wednesday Night Jam The Postage Inn 838 Rt. 32 Tillson, NY www.postageinn.com

We've been having a great time playing our bluesy jazzy originals and have been joined by dozens of fine players to jam on tunes of many genres.

We will be playing a short opening set at 8 PM then sharing the stage with other musicians and friends.

JOIN US FOR GOOD FOOD, DRINKS AND GROOVING TUNES. (check out the music night menu and home made deserts)

(Musicians note) There will be a sign up sheet for any players who want to take the stage. The PA, guitar and bass amp and drums will be provided. We will try to match players for the best musical expression. Each player is guaranteed 3 songs as time permits.

The singer generally calls the tune which can be in any genre as long as the other players know it. The blues is always a good fall back as everyone should know the 12 bars.

Our guiding principals are: RESPECT THE OTHER PLAYERS NOT TOO LOUD HAVE A GOOD TIME!

The Norris Brothers band started off as a group of musicians getting together to share the joy of music. On a weekly basis Tim Norris, Matt Norris, Hank DeCora and John Hahn get together to shed the musical styling of one particular artist. Over the course of time, their repertoire has expanded to include many jazz, soul and rock classics.

All four players are world class musicians and impromptu musical attempts are a frequent occurrence. It’s more than jamming. It’s a focus on creating musical statements that move musicians and listeners alike. There is no shortage of Sting in this set list, but you’ll also hear many other artists, in particular songs by Steely Dan, Miles Davis, Hall and Oates as well as some James Brown.

Join The Norris Brothers Band on July 22 2016 at The Beanrunner Cafe as they perform the classic Sting album Ten Summoner’s Tales as well as other great tunes.
