Voted best band runner-up (and top folk band) in the 2011 Long Island Press readers' poll, Gathering Time is compared to Peter, Paul & Mary, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and The Byrds, with a jot of Joni Mitchell. Founded in 2006 and adopting the name in late 2007, Gathering Time quickly became a fan favorite. The trio has strong roots in traditional folk as well as '60s and '70s folk-rock, and they've been known to sprinkle in some of those classics among their original sets. Steamboats is an ensemble of picker-singer-songwriters who combine reverence for the American vocal group with a progressive sensibility all their own. The band has been together over 14 years and has performed every Thursday in Woodstock for the last nine years.
