A rare luminary of Indian Classical Music, Pandit Anindo Chatterjee has attained new heights in the art of tabla playing. Trained from early childhood in the art of tabla by Guru Padmabhusan Jnan Prakash Ghosh, Anindo has developed a unique style, expanding upon his vast knowledge of the tradition. He is equally regarded as a soloist and an accompanist and has shared the stage with many significant musicians of India. In acknowledgment of his contribution to music, both in India and internationally, he was awarded the “Sangeet Natak Akademy Award” in 2002. Anindo Chatterjee will be performing a tabla duet with his son Anubrata Chatterjee. They will be accompanied by Sanatan Goswami on harmonium. Organized with World Music Institute.

 The 4th Annual Catoberfest will take place on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at the Hop, 554 Main Street, Beacon, NY 12508 from 3- 9 pm. Come enjoy the celebration of foods, refreshments, and music (live music from 4pm to 8pm) to help support Mid Hudson Animal Aid (MHAA), a no-kill, free-range Cat sanctuary in Beacon, NY. The Hop will be serving their famous German style menu all day long, including Sauerbraten, Bratwurst, and mushroom strudel - and of course there will be a cash bar available with all the Hop's great selection of beers, wines, and other beverages. In Federico II, Giovanni Sollima takes inspiration from the 13th-century Holy Roman Emperor who paved the way for the advances of the Renaissance.  Our once-monthly Open Mics are mainly Acoustic, but most styles of music are welcome. All talented artists are invited to take the stage and enjoy one of the most talked about music venues in Westchester.
Our Open Mics are hosted by the very talented and wonderful singer/songwriter, Jess Erick. Jess opens the night with her original songs, then keeps the music flowing and spirits high.
We have a full back line including mics, amps and a keyboard. And don't forget to bring your friends!

 Inspired by the music of Cuba and Puerto Rico, Conjunto Sazon rocks the rhythms of the Caribbean; Salsa, Son, Rumba, Bomba, Plena, as well as Merengue.
These veteran musicians, to their credit, have performed and recorded with world renowned artists such as Celia Cruz, Pete "El Conde" Rodriquez, Eddie Palmieri, Monguito "el unico", Los Kimbos, and the New Swing Sextet to name a few.
This conjunto creates a traditional/modern energetic sound by placing the interlocking rhythmic figures of percussion and Cuban Tres under a smoothly swinging melody to create a ".... new sound Cuboricua.”

The Track was formed "to create and perform original music amidst a local climate dominated by cover bands". This modern Rock band flavors its composition with guitar and violin from Andrew Bordeaux... bass and guitar from Rich Kelly... Chris Burke killin' it on keys... and Tito Wilson's groove and harmonies. Each member is a featured singer. Their songs range from down tempo, mood pieces to pop/rock vehicles for rich harmonies and improvisation. Their influences rang from Aimee Mann and John Mayer to Jane's Addiction and Beck.

Peekskill's own Steve Chizmadia joins us tonight for Ladies Night. Steve's original, "Song for Pete" was was a winner of the South Florida Folk Festival songwriting competition, which he wrote for his idol, Pete Seeger. Steve is also a 3-time Kerrville New Folk Finalist and has won many other notable awards including Noel Paul Stookey's "Music To Life" (Grand Prize) and Woody Guthrie Festival (3rd place). 
The Levins will bring their joyous music to the Winery at St George in a duo show, sharing the evening with the original Americana sound of Pluck & Rail!
