 For anyone who loves joyful, unpretentious, but highly creative and spontaneous jazz, Todd Londagin’s new album Look Out For Love will be a delightful discovery. In the company of four longstanding musical cohorts, Todd has assembled a repertoire of 10 songs, culled from the Great American Songbook and popular songs.
Bassist Jennifer Vincent and drummer David Berger have been playing with Todd since the early 1990s (all three were original members of the successful ‘90s band, The Flying Neutrinos); while pianist Matt Ray and guitarist Pete Smith have been performing with Todd since 2000. Together, they artfully and lovingly developed each piece like an assortment of delicious dishes combined together for a cohesive feast. As Todd explains, "each tune is an exercise in doing things in a different way." Unabashed swing is definitely a consistent mood throughout the CD.

 Nothing goes better with beautiful art than wonderfully melodic music – and both can be experienced this month right in the heart of Marlboro.
The Falcon, a scenic venue located at 1348 Route 9W, Marlboro, will be the backdrop for the evening.
Featured artists include painters Billy Decker, Sara Demetry, Sarah Graziano, Sharon Hager, Lisa Lamar and David Seleznow along with sculptor Anthony Abatecola – all of whom are supported by Orange AHRC. Their work will be available for sale during the event.
The evening will also feature live jazz performances. Tickets are $20 at the door. The doors, bar and restaurant open at 5:30 p.m. with the musical performances beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Every day, Orange AHRC’s 750 employees provide an array of educational, clinical, residential, and day services for more than 2,000 people of all ages living in Orange County who have developmental disabilities.

22 years old Israeli-born pianist Guy Mintus is a recent recipient of the Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Award by ASCAP and of multiple Down Beat Magazine Student Awards for Outstanding Jazz Performance and Arrangement.  Since 1979, only 2 women have ever won the world fingerstyle guitar championship title. You can see them both on this historic occasion. Muriel Anderson is world renowned. Her praises have been sung by Chet Atkins, Les Paul and Doc Watson just to name a few. Her music was taken in the space shuttle, and her most recent CD "Nightlight Daylight" won 11 major awards. Helen Avakian is the 2014 International Fingerstyle Champion. Minor 7th called her recent CD "Notes From Helen" one of the finest guitar CDs of any style ever. It won't be all dazzling guitar instrumentals from these ladies this night, though there will be a lot of that! There will also be beautiful vocal songs, both original songs and fascinating interpretations of well known cover songs. Don't miss this. Who knows when their paths can cross like this again.  Mike Milazzo is an accomplished singer/songwriter and guitarist who blends rock, folk, country, and blues into a distinctive Americana sound. Mike takes his wooden and electric instruments and creates a raw, heartfelt, singular sound. His most recent CD, "Love Is A Cage" features an eclectic mix of songs, honed by hundreds of live performances and showcasing Milazzo's years of performing. Reflective of his time spent in NYC, the CD has come from broken relationships, interactions gone wrong, and stories of lost love affairs of the past.

Veteran musicians Joe Gil (trombone), Neil Alexander (organ and keyboards) and Jason Furman (drums) have put together a new group called the "Thunderhead Organ Trio". The group is taking the concept of the organ trio in a new and different direction, drawing on many different influences and styles.
The group explores the grittier, rockier side of the genre referencing groups like the original Tony Williams Lifetime and mines the jazz standard repertoire for obscure gems and deep cuts. 
Live Band Karaoke puts you center stage, singing with a live band and even back-up singers. It's way more fun than singing to a pre-recorded track.
