Woodstock Public Library District
5 Library Lane
Woodstock, NY   See Map
For our last show of the season, Live at the Library presents Jude Roberts, and Nina Sheldon with Rich Syracuse and Rebecca Coupe Franks. This is a show not to be missed. Jude's songs are gems of folk craft: melody and dynamic chord changes are front and center, lyrics are insightful and all of these aspects are brought to life by a voice that is strong, pure and clear. Nina Sheldon's vocals reflect a sophisticated sense of rhythm and harmonic sensibility; a warm, natural voice; flawless intonation; an exceptional versatility and an incisive sense of time. “She plays like a demon and sings like a living doll.” -- The New Yorker.  Rich Syracuse is an in demand Bassist throughout the northeast. Rebecca Coupe Franks' trumpet playing is aggressive, soft, intense and beautiful. The show starts at 7pm on Saturday, April 18th. Admission is free. Donations to the Library are gratefully accepted.

They're the songs you grew up with over 30 - 40 years ago when you were driving around in your dad's car, the AM radio blasting (77-WABC: New York), the windows rolled down, and you and your friends were singing along to every one of the words.

HURLEY MOUNTAIN HIGHWAY: Eddie Hurley (Bass/Vocals), Paul Davis (Keyboards/Vocals), Ron Harsch (Drums/Vocals), Paul Malta (Guitars).

RIVER SPIRIT MUSIC HOUSE CONCERTS
Hastings-on-Hudson, NY   See Map
Over a career that spans more than a 15 years and has won her a devoted worldwide fan base, Klein—who possesses what Mojo magazine calls “one of those voices you want to crawl up close to the speakers to listen to” and a knack for writing songs that the Cape Cod Times has described as “fully realized, finely observed and deeply felt”—has pursued a remarkable creative evolution that’s seen her dig ever deeper for resonant emotional insights, while continuing to refine her eloquently melodic, effortlessly accessible songcraft.

The son of a welder from rural New England, Rod Picott is a masterful songwriter and soulful singer who carries with him as fine a suitcase of songs as you'll find anywhere. Slaid Cleaves, Ray Wylie Hubbard and Fred Eaglesmith have recorded Rod Picott songs. A former construction worker who hung up his tools when he released his debut CD in 2000, Picott has carved a career for himself with a run of 6 beautifully crafted self released CDs over the last 13 years.

His most recent CD, "Love Is A Cage" features an eclectic mix of songs, honed by hundreds of live performances and showcasing Milazzo's years of performing. Reflective of his time spent in NYC, the CD has come from broken relationships, interactions gone wrong, and stories of lost love affairs of the past.

"During his set he will cover big name acts from Muddy Waters to Johnny Cash ... We think of Elvis Costello at times" - William Glenn

Mike has performed as an opening act for Donovan, Richie Havens, and Levon Helm. Mike can captivate his audience from the first note and have you smiling, laughing and dancing!

The Lords of Liechtenstein is a New York City-based folk music duo, Noah (ukulele/vocals) and Dan (guitar/mandola/vocals) Rauchwerk, who have wowed audiences all over the East Coast with their tight harmonies, thought-provoking lyrics, and baffling affinity for argyle sweater vests. Mark Miller of Urban H2O says "They are like the Everly Brothers with an attitude." THE LEVINS offer harmony-driven acoustic music that is warm and uplifting without skating over the complexities of life. Guitar, piano and voices provide a full sound with unexpected harmonies and unique arrangements. Their just released CD, Trust , was #9 on the Folk DJ airplay list for February. Ira & Julia were Emerging Artists at the 2014 Falcon Ridge F/F and selected for the So Florida F/F singer/songwriter Competition.

Funk steady groove with a touch of Blues
with Adam Falcon
Funk, Jazz, and Blues. Soul, R&B
12 Grapes Music & Wine Bar
12 North Division Street
Peekskill, NY   See Map
Adam Falcon is a master guitarist and songwriter. And one of the most humble people we ever met. Adam once blogged, "Wrote a couple of songs that guitarist George Benson happened to cover." His music is "intimate and soulful". He'll have you riveted to your seat, while at the same time you won't stop moving to the groove.

Adam started recording at 16 and was one of NYC's most sought after session/touring guitarists. He worked with Will Downing, Sophie B. Hawkins, Roberta Flack, and the aforementioned George Benson, for whom he wrote "In Search Of A Dream" from the Grammy nominated album "In Your Eyes", also performing on the album.

"Falcon's adventurous mix of Soul, R&B and Funky Jazz is giving audiences and critics something to talk about." - Urban Network.

Adam will be performing tonight with Tony Tino on bass and Ray Levier on drums. Do not miss this show!
