 Native New Yorkers, John and Lindsey, began writing music together in 2008 and dubbed themselves “Skeye.” They embarked on two projects: an endeavor they called “Room Experiments,” and writing original music for their first record. “Room Experiments” involved traveling with recording gear and instruments to indoor and outdoor locations, making videos of musical performances in these spaces. In each location, they experimented with acoustics, ambience, and the space’s general response to sound. Skeye built a collection of these live recordings on Youtube, and gained the attention of a large international following. Skeye has released three albums and is currently producing an EP.

 Mark Guiliana is an acclaimed drummer, composer, educator, producer and founder of Beat Music Productions; through which, he released both My Life Starts Now and Beat Music: The Los Angeles Improvisations as a bandleader earlier this year.
His forward-thinking, conceptual approach to the instrument is also featured in Mehliana, the electric duo featuring Brad Mehldau on keyboards and synthesizers. The group’s highly anticipated debut album, Taming the Dragon (Nonesuch), was released in early 2014.
Over the past decade, Guiliana’s extensive touring with artists including Meshell Ndegeocello, Gretchen Parlato, Avishai Cohen, Matisyahu, Lionel Loueke, Now vs. Now, Dhafer Youssef, and his own groups, Beat Music and Heernt.

 Hudson Valley singer/songwriter Willa McCarthy has been an active performer in the Hudson Valley for more than a decade, most notably as a member of The Chris O'Leary Band.
She met acclaimed and award-winning singer/harp player Chris O’Leary a few years before he became the lead singer for Levon Helm's Barn Burners. When O’Leary launched his own band in 2008 and invited her to join, she jumped at the chance. Of McCarthy, O'Leary has said, "she's my favorite person in the world to sing with."
McCarthy’s vocals are powerful and soulful and her band plays a mix of blues, funk, R&B and rock—including original and cover material—and features Pete Hop on guitar, Scott Milici on keys, Doug Abramson on bass and Jerry Teters on drums. |

This world-class 18-piece Big Band features a full horn section with 5 sax's, 4 trombones, 4 trumpets, and the inimitable talents of drummer and bandleader Greg Westhoff. The band performs classic Swing music, Sinatra, Broadway selections and songs from the '40's, '50's and more.
Greg Westhoff has performed on the Tonight Show and is the orchestra drummer for "Family Guy". Greg also performed with Walter Murphy and the Big Apple Band on the popular disco-era hit " A Fifth of Beethoven". Members of the Swing Band are all professional musicians who've performed in Broadway pits and with numerous industry greats.

 Flying Cat Music ends its 2014 concert year with a gala celebration and benefit concert to help defray costs of the ongoing concert series held at the Empire State Railway Museum in Phoenicia.
For those fond of festive socializing, the concert will be preceded by a potluck dinner at 6:00 p.m. Admission to the concert portion of the evening begins at 7:00 p.m.
After a sterling year of shows that brought an outstanding lineup of national and international acts to the Phoenicia train station, Sunday's event celebrates the Mid-Hudson Valley music community with performances by the talented musicians who each month make it possible for Flying Cat Music to produce the concert series, and there is no more fitting way to ring out the concert year than to have them take center stage.

 Michael Torsone has refined the smooth, cool sound of jazz generated by the world-renowned Hammond B3 organ. His powerful voice with this vintage instrument creates a natural groove that cannot be replicated by modern, electronic keyboards.
It was in the “The Matt Jordan Band” that he made his debut as a vocalist and he hasn’t stopped singing since.

Mike + Ruthy's tenure with their trailblazing stringband, The Mammals, put them on the international festival map and on the short list to accompany the legendary Pete Seeger in his busy twilight years including Pete’s birthday celebration at New York’s Madison Square Garden. Their own Summer Hoot, Pete referred to as “one of the best song-gatherings I’ve been to in all of my 94 years.”
Kristin Andreassen toured with Rounder Records’ stringband Uncle Earl, the “folk noir” singing trio Sometymes Why and the renowned traditional percussive dance ensemble Footworks before embarking on her solo songwriting career.
Chris Eldridge has worked with Paul Simon, Renée Fleming, John Paul Jones, Julian Lage, Marcus Mumford, Justin Timberlake, T-Bone Burnett, Elvis Costello, and many others. |

The root of the Alexis P. Suter Band's sound is Suter's deep, powerful, commanding, and soulful voice, artfully blending the lines between gospel and blues. Suter is the daughter of a singer, Carrie Suter, backing vocalist with Harry Belafonte and Mahalia Jackson and cites the late classic R&B singer, Ruth Brown, as a primary influence.
In 2005, Suter and her band attracted the attention of the legendary drummer for the Band, Levon Helm. Helm offered the group numerous showcases at his Midnight Ramble in Woodstock, NY. Helm, true to his word, put his money where his mouth was and released Live at the Midnight Ramble, with the band, on his own label.

 Tony Trischka and his group of extraordinary musicians will play a concert to benefit Unison Arts Center on Friday, December 19th at 7:30 at the Lutheran Church in New Paltz. Doors will open at 7:30. There is a suggested donation of $25.
The concert will center around "Glory Shone Around" which is Tony's acoustic celebration of the season. Based on his critically-acclaimed Rounder Records release of the same name, in this show Trischka turns his considerable melodic inventiveness loose on some of the most familiar music of all time.
Tony will be joined by Molly Tuttle, John Mailander, Jared Engel, TIm Eriksen, and Zoe Darrow.
The Lutheran Church in New Paltz is an excellent concert venue with wonderful acoustics and state of the art seating.

 Ricardo presents a special holiday concert. An innovative singer/songwriter/guitarist whose multicultural blend of Rock, Latin & Jazz, Ricardo creates music that is beyond category. His songs have won commendations from the Billboard Magazine competition and have been published in Sing Out! Magazine. Relix Magazine selected his trio as the new artist JamOFF Grand Prize Winner for July/August 2013.
Doug Munro is the ultimate musician and master guitarist who has worked with a diverse array of artists; and was the winner of Grammy nominations and two NAIRD awards. He is currently working with his Gypsy Jazz group La Pompe attack.
Ariel De La Portilla specializes in jazz and latin jazz including Brazilian and Cuban music, Funk, R&B and fusion. Ariel has worked with Patato Valdez, Steve Kroon, and Edy Martinez amongst others.
